KHARTOUM, Sudan - Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Muhammad."
The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pickup trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Gillian Gibbons, the teacher who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in prison and deportation.
They massed in central Martyrs Square, outside the presidential palace, where hundreds of riot police were deployed, although they did not attempt to stop the rally.
"Shame, shame on the U.K.," protesters chanted.
They called for Gibbons' execution, saying, "No tolerance: Execution," and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad."
The women's prison where Gibbons is being held is far from the site, as is the Unity High School where she taught, which is under heavy security protection.
I can’t think of anything to say that wouldn’t involve a thousand pounder dropped in the middle of such a crowd, so thus I’ll have to choose to say nothing.
This is a wet dream for the leftists. They finally have the muscle they need to take down western civilization. They are already here in our universities and cities.

Gibbons had one of her 7-year-old students bring in a teddy bear, then asked the class to name it and they chose the name Muhammad.
But this poor teacher sits in jail, convicted of inciting religious hatred, amid calls for her execution.
This should serve as a stark reminder that Sudan, despite its Christian minority, is one of the very worst places on earth to be a non-Muslim. This incident should also garner international outrage and expose the absurdity of Islam to the world, but it won't.
I feel really bad for this poor woman, who looks like your typical well-meaning soul who certainly doesn’t deserve a fate like this. The school (called Unity) was supposed to show that Muslims and Christians could get along, since it had students from both groups. The parents obviously were not upset, particularly since some of the parents of the children came forward to defend her.
But the overwhelming weight of the Islamic world is on the side of the loonies - who after all, really are the orthodox Muslims, while the moderates are not - and we have to admit that it is simply impossible to deal with them in any way other than to keep them afraid of us. Something we seem to be losing the ability to do, alas...

The "good intention" people that think you can bridge two religions which are diametrically opposed to one another is just ludicrous, and has to mean a person doesn't even understand the religion they follow to allow such contrivance.
This whole mob is a political construction, the population was “leafleted” to demonstrate, and this is the outcome.

Yes, my apologies, you’re right. Napoleon, however, had fantasies of starting a religion based on this. It makes such a handy vehicle for world domination. What’s a tyrant to do?
The mobs are mad dogs and should be treated as such. Liberals trying to do good going into these pits of darkness are treated no better than any other infidel, but they will never learn.

Make that a thousand pound daisy cutter and you would kill everyone over 4ft tall.
In an editorial, The Daily Telegraph said Miliband "has tiptoed around the case, avoiding a threat to cut aid and asserting that respect for Islam runs deep in Britain.
Given that much of the government's financial support goes to the wretched refugees in Darfur and neighboring Chad, Mr. Miliband's caution is understandable."
Now, however, the newspaper said, Britain should recall its ambassador in Khartoum and impose sanctions on the Sudanese regime.
These people better shut up for at least a few weeks until she is our of that sewer, or they'll talk that lady into her grave. If they want to say something, say it in private to the "leaders" of the country -- something like,"she dies, so does Khartoum -- the next day."
And follow up if necessary.
