Calls in Sudan for execution of Briton

KHARTOUM, Sudan - Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Muhammad."

The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons, as pickup trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Gillian Gibbons, the teacher who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in prison and deportation.

They massed in central Martyrs Square, outside the presidential palace, where hundreds of riot police were deployed, although they did not attempt to stop the rally.

"Shame, shame on the U.K.," protesters chanted.

They called for Gibbons' execution, saying, "No tolerance: Execution," and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad."

The women's prison where Gibbons is being held is far from the site, as is the Unity High School where she taught, which is under heavy security protection.

Islam is not a religion. it is a violent political ideology based on a specific set of laws(Sharia) that foster a movement tantamount to Nazism. Americans need to wake up to that fact.

It must suck to have a “god” who is such a candy ass that he is offended somebody names a bear after moooohammad. What is more offensive to me is that somebody named a teddy bear after a 7th century pedophile.

If the mooselimbs are mad at this gal for having her students name a teddy bear Muhammed they really would be mad at me for naming a stubborn floater that refuses to go down the tank muhammed.

Americans need to wake up to that fact.

The whole civilized world needs to wake up to that fact.

It is a violent political ideology wearing the robes of “religion”.

I agree. But I’d amend your statement by saying that radical Islam is not a religion, it is [as you say] with cultist practices. There are too many aspects of its application that happen privately and locally that do put it into the category of corrupted religious belief, unlike Stalinism, which was purely secular.

Considering what a complete toilet their country is, you think they would have other thing to worry about. I wonder if they would be willing to give up all foreign aid for the sake of their half-***ed beliefs?

More nonsense from the Faith of Hate and the Cult of Insanity.

Just wonder how many of the protestors were named “Mohammed” and should they be executed, too...

God help the poor woman if she ever fell into the hands of this barbaric mob—they’d tear her to pieces.

Speechless...

I can’t even imagine what is going through this poor woman’s mind right now. Thousands of people demanding her death over a teddy bear named Mohammed? The utter insanity...

As I said on an earlier thread; what about the kids that named the bear? Executing children is OK with Islamo fascists.

BTW: I blame this all on Bush /s

They called for Gibbons' execution

I do think it's time for a little Pax Britannica. The Foreign Office issues a statement to the Sudanese government saying, "If anything happens to that woman today, tomorrow there is no Khartoum."

As I believe I have ranted earlier, in confronting today's Moslem governments, the tragedy of atomic weapons, or at the very least of heavy aerial bombardment, is underuse. It's hard to bluster defiantly, take hostages, or collect bribes from the U.N. when you don't exist.

I seem to recall that the Soviets had a similar policy that kept their diplomatic corps quite safe from predation.

Well said. The smartest thing Mohammed ever did was announce his hallucinations so that his political cult could be referred to as a “religion;” but it’s no more a religion that was the German “Volks religion” that Hitler attempted to create, or the Goddess of Reason “religion” that Napoleon attempted.
