When will Hillary quit the senate?

Running for higher office from the senate is a losing proposition. It didn't work for Lloyd Benson or Joe Lieberman as VP and it didn't work for John Kerry as Pres. Now, leaving didn't help Bob Dole bu that is another story.

So the question is when should Hillary quit the senate?

Dodd absolutely should resign. He has taken no heat at all for moving his family out of state so they can campaign full time in Iowa. I don’t think one CT Republican has even said a word about this outrage.

No one pressured Lieberman to resign in 2000 either of course. Then, as now, we have Republican governors here though the current and previous governor are “moderates.” Still they would have appointed fellow Republicans to fill the vacancy so obviously there was no clamor from the elites for these Demo senators to step down.

In 2000 Lieberman was actually running for two seats at once, don't forget - his Senate seat and the VP. It's a good thing he won the Senate seat back, actually - I can't imagine how bad it would have been to have a "Senator Giordano" scandal. It was bad enough that he was still the Mayor of Waterbury when it was revealed he had a thing for little (under 10) girls.

She won’t quit. What does she care if the job doesn’t get done? It’s security for her.

Should she? Yes

Will she? Not just no, but hell no.

When should she quit? yesterday. When will she quit? the day of her inauguration.

The examples you give are coincidental, not conclusive. Kerry's continuing as a Senator made little difference in his defeat. He simply didn't bother to show up for work. Perhaps it cost him a few votes but it was hardly mentioned. Now, perhaps if they were in a leadership position as was Dole, their absence would be noted but neither Kerry nor the Hildebeast does much in the Senate anyway. You will see no change until after the nomination at a minimum.

“...So the question is when should Hillary quit the senate?...”

She should have quit on her first day in the senate. That was, what, 6 or 7 years ago?

When will Hillary quit the senate?

After losing the election and being relegated to the dustbin of history, along with the rutting goat-like creature she says she's married to, she'll probably have a house fall on her during a tornado and her live-in muslim girl friend will get the ruby slippers.

Don’t forget that Republicans must also divest from any company that does business in America.

I’m sure that Gov. Spitzer will appoint a great successor to fill the vacancy.

Sid Blumenthal is back from England... I bet he's already bought a house in NY.

So the question is when should Hillary quit the senate?

When SHOULD she? Yesterday wasn't soon enough.

When WILL she? Never, if she can swing it. My guess is, if she (G-d forbid) wins next November, she'll get her lawyers to find some way she can be Senator AND President for life? simultaneously. After all, rules aren't for the "smartest woman person in America", they're only for "the little people".

and WHO could forget that if anyone other than a Democrat stole federal documents, they would go to jail. (Berger)

or who stole FBI files (Clinton)

or who misued the IRS (Clinton)

then there are the scores of bodies who all did commit suicide by multiple shotgun blasts to the back of the head ...

Kerry never quit. It’s the new standard ( for democrats only that is).

Do you think before you write? John McCain is still in the Senate. Duncan Hunter is still in the House. Where do you get your exaggerated ideas from?????

She would only quit if she won the POTUS election. Until then, never. Even if she lost a re-election vote for the Senate, she would stay on while re-counts, Federal Courts and their Appeals changed the election outcome. Power-hungry Marxists dont willingly resign from office unless it involves a promotion.

IIRC, Bubba's lease agreement in NY says he can opt out of it IF she wins the Presidency.

I also remember, I think it was Chris Matthews, saying most say she should just stay in the Senate and go through the ranks.

Hillary's problem right now is that Obama has become the "chief money maker" for the party...something she held for a long time.

Her Gucci Carpetbag is evolving into "Made in China" BY THE CHILDREN NO LESS.
