Has the 787 flown yet, does anyone know?
I’m flying one right now. How in the hell do I land this thing?
The first test flights are not on a fixed schedule but are expected in the second quarter of 2008 after having been planned to start......per WIKI.........
Last I read was that the plane was six months behind schedule and more delays anticipated. Still, the thing is selling like hotcakes. Over 700 orders at last count.

I'm not a pilot [real or virtual] so it's just my guess.
Seriously though, check out www.airliners.net cause there's an update saying that the Dreamliner will make it's 1st lift-off in MArch '08.

They're going to have to call it the Boeing Vista.
Did you go to one of those flight schools that taught you to fly but not to take off or land the plane? :-)
Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?
You made me laugh!
There was a cartoon in the New Yorker a few years ago, that showed a pilot and co-pilot seated at on the flight deck; before them was arrayed a gigantic, complex control panel. The pilot is staring at a little box he is holding, and he's saying to the co-pilot "This is so cool... I'm flying this thing from my Palm Pilot."
If you’re a Muzzie, you don’t need to know how to land.
Flying’s hard. I just went ahead and ejected.
They also demoted the guy that was in charge of the Dreamliner and brought someone else in. And the BIG thing is that the next plane Boeing is doing they will not be subbing out all the pieces around the world - they will have one huge new facility to build their next plane. (Or maybe even future Dreamliners, I don’t recall).
Of course that will be a huge deal for whoever gets the facility whenver that decision is made. The Seattle area hopes to keep it there, but there are no sure bets.
Rumblings from the inside. Its behind schedule and plenty of OT for everyone.

Yes.

DuncanWaring,
you are a wittier than Bill Clinton!
(that’s a positive compliment in this case)
No, I haven't stayed in a motel/hotel for about 6 months already.
Why? Is that the environment that poeple usually play MS FLight Simulator in?
Uh...your 300 passengers want a word with you...
I thought initial flights were supposed to be in September then they slipped it to November now March?
Did they hire the airbus crew?
The 787 program opened its final assembly plant in Everett in May 2007. First flight is around the end of the first quarter of 2008 with certification, delivery and entry into service occurring later in the year.
