It's amazing, Mike Huckabee is one of the few politicians who would give the time of day to FR,
Gov. Huckabee's Thank you Letter to FReeper
and yet by some on FR they in mindless hyperbolic posts basically compare him to the plague.
JMO, some FReepers prove the axioms of "fair weather friends" and "no good deed goes unpunished" and also "watch your back", very true.
I guess I didn’t see your point before. It looks like we were both right.
Just a variation on a theme with a comfortable accent to capture them there Northeasterners.
Because those who make a living out of bashing Rudy needed a break.
Wrong. Corsi has a ludicrous, hysterical, breathless 'Hardy Boys-The Shadow Knows' writing style, but his research is impeccable. Yes, it's like reading something that's true in the 'National Enquirer' but you'll just have to deal with it.
The man speaks the truth. He was a pretty good academic who gave up the academic style of obfuscation and non-committal compromise, for shameless shock-shlock.
Perhaps you're too sophisticated for him, in which case choose another author for your unpleasant news, or wait until Corsi is proven correct. He usually is.

Thank you for the ping Kenny. I am not an authority on Huckabee AND being a woman, I was stopped in my tracks at the first post of Paris Hilton - whose head HAD to have been attached to someone elses body, lolol!

I’m just reading through this old thread and wanted to thank you for taking the time to make such a detailed reply with good information and insight.
Thank you for the info you posted in 248. (I’m just now reading this old thread.)
Thanks. Looking back at your recent posts, I can see you are doing some good research, and you are well-informed of what is happening behind-the-scenes.
Fixed, to reflect Fred Thompson's PRE-Iowa record on the matter.

Voted to grant amnesty to close to one million ILLEGAL ALIENS from Nicaragua and Cuba in 1997
Sen. Thompson voted to grant legal status to Nicaraguans and Cubans who had lived in the United States ILLEGALLY since 1995, along with their spouses and minor unmarried children. The overall ten year impact of this legislation will be the addition of some 967,000 people to U.S. population.
"I think that you have to realize that you're either going to drive 12 million people underground permanently, which is not a good solution. You're going to get them all together and get them out of the country, which is not going to happen. Or you're going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship"
-- Fred Thompson, Hannity & Colmes, 2006
Thank you. It’s pretty disheartening to come here after being away for a while and find so many FReepers just name-calling and spouting what sources with questionable motives are saying. I expected more digging for the truth.
The Mack Amendment to the DC Appropriations bill passed the Senate with 99 yea votes to 1 nay vote. The House passed similar legislation 205-201, with Hunter voting Yea.
