Caption says: "This was today, at Urbina's main street. First time I see anything like this. The line stretched for four blocks. Those present told me they had been standing there since 5:00 AM. They had to wait an average of five hours to get their food rations, among which the most coveted was milk."
There have been reports of milk and milk product shortages for over a month.
More pictures at link. NoticieroDigital.com is sort of a Venezuelan FreeRepublic, except that they allow posts from moonbats, which at times make for great fun. Comments are in Spanish.

Eight days before the final communist takeover, unless our neighbors get off their butts and vote ¿por qué NO te callas?!
Gracias, Jimmy!

Reminds me of a story I read in the later days of the USSR. If you saw a line, you got in it.

socialism does not work It's mindboggling libs still don't get it depsite readily available evidence.
I was conversing with a liberal gal who says it's impossible to be a christian conservative as Jesus christ would surely be more giving. How in the world can you even have a discussion with a mindset based on feelings and not results?

except that they allow posts from moonbats1. So what is a typical leftist post on this thread? I see the first on is "today milk, tomorrow meat".
2. The people in line don't look particularly poor.
3. Why don't we have naked-chick avatars on FR?

Judging by the width of the people, I don't see why they need to wait in line for food. ; )

Not a lot of coverage in the MSM (surprised) but the jist of this Reuters article seems to be "people just want too much".
