Accusations of racism in a Lee's Summit high school have lead to suspensions, but now the parents say their kids were unfairly punished.
Travis Grigsby loves playing drums, but he and his friend Alex Coday weren't able to play for two weeks after they were suspended. It started after the band's performance at a football game. Some kids on the drum line said they were talking about the best knots to use to tie up the drum equipment.
"Someone asked if anybody knew how to tie a noose and Travis did admit he knew how to tie a noose," Kim Grigsby said.
Travis' mom said her son is almost an Eagle Scout, he knew how to tie it, but told his friends he wouldn't because you could get in trouble for that. Later, a black student on the drum line told the teacher he was offended.
"Travis was accused of using a racial slur for saying the word 'noose.' Then he was suspended for 10 days," Kim said.

Great question——no one because our side is too busy watching football and basketball. I’ve always said the white man only cares about three things: Can I get in another round of golf on Sunday before the football game and is there enough propane to barbecue. He doesn’t care about his country, his job, his family — just sports. My answer to your question.
Now, as one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Missouri, things have really changed. That drug store has closed, you can't buy shotgun shells or hunting licenses at the Hy Vee any more, and Cole Younger Days is now known as "Old Tyme Days." Although they haven't taken that old murderous bank robber's name off of any streets just yet. I guess this is an example of how things have changed...

He doesn't. Every year you can read about school districts and cities that want to ban his books from libraries and required reading lists, replacing them with the works of Maya Angelou.

I had learned how to tie one by the age of ten.
It is a handy knot, and just a knot, an arrangement of rope, but I can see why the politicians and bureaucrats might want it banned.
I guess once people have pretty much driven the Confederate Battle Flag out of the public venue, they need some other "symbol" to hate.
Frankly, I hope none of these folks ever needs a chain for anything.

Back in my high school's audio/visual unit, we referred to female/female and male/male adapters as homo or lesbian connectors. But that was many years ago. I can only imagine what would have happened to us today
Noose is a racial slur?
Kansas City?
This is insane, they act like no white person has ever been on the wrong side of a noose.

50% are less intelligent than the median- the average (mean) can be different from the median.
If you have 10,20,20,20,50,80,100,100, the average is 50 and the median is 35, so half are higher than 35 and half lower.
However, in a normally distributed population, the mean (average), the median, and the mode are the same value.
BTW, when I think of nooses, I associate them with "Hang 'Em High", "The Oxbow Incident", and "Judgment at Nuremberg".
In the final analysis, there is no real difference between the KKK hanging someone they don’t like and those other guys engaging in a “drive-by-shooting”.
Don’t forget Adolf Eichmann and Saddam Hussayn who also had encounters with nooses.
That's quite the niggardly noose you have hanging there.
We better get rid of handcuffs as they are far too close to shackles.
The Boy Scouts of America do not teach how to tie a noose.
The boyscouts will now be sued...
