I live in Lee's Summit. When I first moved here, about 17 years ago, it still had something of a small town feel to it. You could buy a hunting license and shotgun shells at the video rental counter of the Hy Vee grocery store on M291. You could buy guns and ammo at the drug store on 3rd street. And there was a city wide celebration known as "Cole Younger Days."

Now, as one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Missouri, things have really changed. That drug store has closed, you can't buy shotgun shells or hunting licenses at the Hy Vee any more, and Cole Younger Days is now known as "Old Tyme Days." Although they haven't taken that old murderous bank robber's name off of any streets just yet. I guess this is an example of how things have changed...
