Ok! Ok! You are technically correct. I should have used proper terminology - after all this is Free Republic, not The Daily Kos (where the population is highly skewed towards the lowest quartile of the bell curve).
However, in a normally distributed population, the mean (average), the median, and the mode are the same value.
BTW, when I think of nooses, I associate them with "Hang 'Em High", "The Oxbow Incident", and "Judgment at Nuremberg".
lol! Doesn’t it seem that there are far more people below the mean than above? We assume a Gaussian distribution without significant kurtosis, but the ratio of idiots to savants seems skewed sometimes, like “The Bell Curve” has a leftish component. I don’t think we are dealing with a normal population and Daily Kos suggests that that is true.
Nooses should not become a term that belongs to minorities, since during the time of most lynchings, most lynching victims were White.
