” But she’s strong and she has convictions,” Bernadette Chirac, well-known for a forceful character of her own, told the weekly Le Figaro magazine”

Yeah, so far she has escaped her “convictions” : )

Preposterous headline of the day award!

Only in the press could they think that Chirac and Hillary are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. He may be center-right as far as France is concerned, but he’s still a lefty in U.S. terms.

Yes, I saw in another thread Jacques is in trouble over there as well. So, of course, the Chiracs support the Clintons, criminals of a feather and all.

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.

When Ted Nugent was asked by a french reporter about killing deer, he responded something like this:
“Deer only care about three things: Eating food, screwing, and running from those trying to kill them. Kind of like the French.” Interview over.

"The Chiracs' political affiliations are at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Clintons'"

ROFLMAO!! Only a complete doofus MSM reporter could imagine that the Chiracs are the "oppositer" of the Clintonistas politically. The two couples share so much in common: corruption & depravity, socialism, love of a weakened USA, collusion with fellow international socialist wankers, etc. etc. Jacques Chirac is finally facing serious investigation and charges for his corruption, which makes it a perfect time for Mrs. Chirac to sweep up Shrillery in a warm embrace.

Let’s see—an endorsement for Hillary from the wife of a crooked self-serving, American-hating French politician who is under investigation. Wow. Hillary’s a shoo-in. /s

France’s conservatives are to the left of the Democratic Party, so this is really either feigned surprise on the part of the reporter, or actual ignorance of this state of affairs. I think it’s also partially an inclination on the part of the reporter not to look a gift horse in the mouth - why look too closely when a foreigner praises your preferred candidate?
