When candidates miss the filing deadlines, that is a sign that they're out of money and will probably be dropping out of the race.

Seems like getting on the ballot would be a priority for a serious candidate.

Troubling and disappointing. :-( It’s not just a matter of paperwork though. You need money ($15,000) to file as a candidate for the primary in Arkansas. I’m pretty sure it was more of a matter of making ends meet and NOT “forgetting” to file.

Hunter has two campaign dates tomorrow here in Michigan. I suspect it’s more a matter of not wasting money in a place they feel unlikely to win.

Maybe one will get to be the Vice. Of the two Hunter stands a much better shot at VP. I'd like to see Tancredo Sec. of St. ;)

I suspect its more a matter of not wasting money in a place they feel unlikely to win.Given that Hunter is not likely to win anywhere, that philosophy would mandate shutting down the campaign completely.

Tancredo would be better as head of ICE.

Given the chances of the front running RINOs winning they may as well all drop out.

Time for a leak the Fred and Hunter had a closed door meeting.

I really like both Tancredo and Hunter. I think they are good men and their politics match mine better than any of the other candidates but every day they stay in the race I lose respect and affection for them. They are wasting the money of good meaning conservative donors. They are wasting the time of good conservative activists and volunteers. The anybody but Giuliani field is too large and the guys who haven’t polled over 5% in 6 months of solid campaigning need to go for the good of their own ideas and principles.

Well, I do know Hunter filed for the primary ballots in New Hampshire and South Carolina, which only cost $1000 a piece. He’s also on the Conneticut primary, the Alabama one (IIRC), and Michigan.

Isn't the grassroots are designed to give attention to those that don't otherwise receive it from the media?
Donors and volunteers aren't being forced to donate. They do so because they believe in the candidate. Everytime, the RINO is facing the Democrat we are told that we must vote for the RINO and the time to get rid of the RINO is in the primaries. Well, it's the primaries.

As of a couple of weeks ago, Hunter had raised a grand total of $250 from Arkansas, which probably wouldn't cover the cost of a plane ticket. It's not realistic to run a national campaign on that sort of budget.
The most likely scenario is that he will suspend his campaign after Iowa or New Hampshire. Duncan Hunter supporters should be prepared to go to Plan B.

Duncan Hunter supporters should be prepared to go to Plan B.And just who is the master of this 'plan B'? I didn't pick Duncan Hunter because of some republican's 'plan'. I picked him because he's the best candidate we've had in 20 years.

..IMO, unless a candidate is in the bag for Tyson Chicken and pro-illegal immigration, it would probably be a futile effort anyway
I could be wrong...
