Sounds like typical CNN BS to me.

I am not from NH but I think Fred became toast after he told Timmy Russart that he did not support the Republican platform on abortion.

That may not be the reason that NH Republicans feel the way they do?? Probably not??

All the polls have an agenda of some type. I personally do not believe there are any honest polls, Fox News poll is one of the worst.

No problem. They all go up and down, it must have been something other than Rasmussen then. With as many polls that are out there I must have missed that one.

Fred seems to do best in his scripted YouTube moments and when he sits down to talk one-on-on with political commentators.

Which tells me you are all about sound bites, that a thoughtful candidate is not your cup of tea.

Huh? If he was running against ANY Democrat I’d vote for him.

Yes, he is the most conservative among the front runners. And yes, I do believe he’ll soon be gaining again in SC.

Well, blow me down, one-note Kevmo is on the scene.
***Hi JV. Let me quickly just do your work for you and call myself a liar over semantical issues that you only happen to disagree with when it comes to Hunter and no other candidacy. OK, we got that out of the way, we can have our discussions now. One not Kevmo on the scene.

Here’s the deal ... I don’t think that Duncan Hunter has the face recognition that is needed to win ... though he’s the best man in my view. If this election were not so critical I would vote for him no matter what. But given the danger we face with the Demoncrats candidates who in my view would destroy America if we let ANY of them get into the White House ... I don’t believe that we can take the chance with an unknown. I may have hold my nose to vote but I will vote for whomever we run against thes Stalinists ... I hope it’s Duncan ... but I just don’t think so

I have very little trust in polls in general. I have even less trust in a poll in any way involving the Clinton News Network.

doesn't make any sense. Why wouldn't folks vote for Thompson if he's the nominee?

Doesn't make sense..

In my case, no, I will not change. I believe that the only true form of conservatism is federalism. I believe that a government that uses it’s power to enforce YOUR will on others is little better than one that uses its power to enforce the liberals’ will on others. Any gains by electing a big-government conservative are only temporary. Electing someone who changes the rules can result in permanent change. I don’t mean this to trash your guy, but I think federalism is what can save us from ourselves.
***Thanks for the honest answer. I simply do not understand this federalist approach on the one big issue, abortion. There’s no federalist approach when it comes to murder of a human being in the US, and all we need to do is define a fetus as a human being under the 14th amendment. Other than that one big issue, federalism sounds mostly ok to me. It does not register that high on my care-o-meter for the most part.

Fred’s stand on abortion earned him the endorsement of the National Right to Life, the largest and most influential anti-abortion goup in the nation.

I think you’re barking up the wrong tree.

Here’s the deal ... I don’t think that Duncan Hunter has the face recognition that is needed to win ... though he’s the best man in my view.
***So if he had name recognition, you would support him, right? I’m starting to run into Fred supporters that support Fred regardless of name recognition and other things, like Fred was a match to their outlook the same way Hunter is a match to my outlook. The name recognition folks seem to me to be winnable to Hunter’s side. The thing to keep in mind is that the process itself generates name recognition. Pretty much no one knew who Dan Quayle was before he got the nod from Bush for VP.

If this election were not so critical I would vote for him no matter what. But given the danger we face with the Demoncrats candidates who in my view would destroy America if we let ANY of them get into the White House ... I don’t believe that we can take the chance with an unknown.
***Then compare what is known. Fred had great name recognition, seems to have plenty of money. He has squandered it, losing 30 points at Intrade and dropping in the polls. Hunter has kept in the race on his shoestring budget, overshadowed by Thompson’s presence in the same way that McClintock was overshadowed by aRINOld. Fred is not a good campaigner, Hunter has never been given the chance with those kinds of resources but has proven trustworthy with the little he has. This time we can do something about the looming mistake in the republican party. It’s too late to correct the damage done by aRINOld.

So why is Ron Paul in the poll? This does smell funny. Why the spike in people who would not support Thompson even if their candidate dropped out? It smells like a push poll.

Maybe so, but its numbers are consistent with other polls from other organizations.

Pretty much. We’re just “Northern Massachusetts” now or New Hampshachusettes as I like to say.

I also do not believe these polling numbers. WMUR acts like a front for the Dims. Unfortunately, there is no other TV news alternative in the state.
