Press Releases Contact: Brendan Daly/Nadeam Elshami 202-226-7616 For Immediate Release 11/16/2007 Pelosi: Once Again, Republicans Refuse to Hold the President Accountable for His Failed Iraq Policy
Washington, D.C. Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today after Senate Republicans blocked consideration of a Democratic bill that would change the direction of the Presidents failed Iraq policy by requiring the orderly redeployment of our troops while providing them with the resources they need:
"Once again, the Republican minority in the Senate has blocked the will of the majority of the American people and the Congress.
"Congressional Republicans' stubborn refusal to hold the President accountable for his failed Iraq policy is delaying needed funding for our troops and obstructing a New Direction strategy that will bring them home responsibly, honorably, safely and soon.
The New Direction Congress has provided our troops with all of the tools they need and a sound strategy to bring them home. Democrats will ensure that our troops have the resources they require, but we refuse to provide the President a blank check for his 10-year war, $2 trillion war in Iraq.

Nah, she’s being honest. Bush’s new Iraq policy failed to lead us into the defeat that the Democrat party wants. So Pelosi has every right to fault Bush for not losing. :)

Why didn’t she say earlier this year that ... the Republican minority in the Senate has upheld the will of the majority of the American people by blocking Amnesty!

LOL! Don’t look now, Nance, but that “failed” policy seems to be working pretty well. Just keep parroting the same lines, but my advice is don’t give up the day job, whatever that might be.

Note from Melissa Manchester to Nancy P.: Don’t cry out loud.
To: Sub-Driver
Nancy's policy of attempting to engineer defeat in Iraq has failed.
Al Qeaeda's policy of turning Iraq into a cesspool of islamism and terrorism has failed.
So yes, there are some failed Iraq policies floating around.
There's another Iraq policy: It's the MSM and Democrat Party's policy of systematically lying about the situation in Iraq?
What's the status of that policy?

I remember in the 1980’s the left created the myth that the Reagan tax cuts cause huge deficits. That the rich didn’t pay their fair share and all that type of crap. Now, the big lie is that the war in Iraq is lost. Well, the good news is that it’s not going to work this time. The victorious efforts of our troops will be exposed to the nation over the next year. The presidential campaign will serve as a great opportunity to take their lies and slam it down their throats.
