Does Obama Still Have "It"?
CBS News ^ | Nov. 11, 2007 | Maria Gavrilovic

The Jefferson-Jackson dinner was the last stop of Senator Barack Obama's five day tour of Iowa, and it was his last chance to make an impact. He has been repeatedly criticized for lacking the zeal that thrust him into the limelight after the 2004 Democratic National Convention, but on Friday he told reporters that he's still "got it."

The Jefferson-Jackson dinner proved that Obama still has ... something.

Mike Allen of the Politico called Obama the "biggest crowd pleaser," but Allen wrote that a contradiction in Obama's speech may have opened the door for trouble.

Obama said that running for president was not a long-held ambition; however, Allen cites several newspaper interviews with Obama's teachers who said that as a child he wrote that he wanted to be president.

The full effect of Obama's performance is yet to be seen.

Given that he's not that old, he may have a point...

Does Obama Still Have "It"?

Or will they have to airbrush it in like they did for Algore?

Only if “It” refers to big ears and a highly evolved vacuous ability to pander.

My questions is, what did he EVER have, when did he have it, etc. I have seen nothing, absolutely nothing, that qualifies this guy to be president of the USA. Even the Hildabitch has “some” minor experience in running the country since she is a former co-president with Bubba. But, Osama Obama has nothing. Barely any time even in the stinking Peoples Socialist Congress of Amerika.

My problem is: whenever he speaks in something other than nice-sounding platitudes and generalities, he puts his foot in his mouth.

How can one still have what one never did?

I wonder what the meaning of “it” is?

Maybe it’s the meaning of “is.”

Wow this reporterette must be in Hillary’s camp. What little kid in school doesn’t say they want to grow up to be President. Well Hillary probably said she wanted to grow up to be the ruler of the world, but other than that, it’s a pretty common statement from kids in school.

Maybe ‘it’ is his military service or maybe ‘it’ is his mastery of running a business, or then again, maybe ‘it’ is his ability to get bills passed in the Senate. A general campaign, if he gets that far, will ‘out’ him. But I guess it depends on what their definition of ‘it’ is.

Obama is vapid, all I know is he won a cakewalk election to the Senate a couple of years ago, and someone wrote him a good speech at the DNC in 2004.

He’s shallow beyond belief, and refuses to do any tough interview. He’s a baby.

"Does Obama Still Have "It"?"

What do they mean "still"? He never had "it". All he has is this silly notion that he can exploit the racism his race baiting co-workers try to turn every issue into, in hopes it will propel him into the "white" house. It's amazing that he hasn't proclaimed that he will paint it black if he wins.

Obama's appearance on Meet the Press this morning was lackluster and dull. His answers were rambling and seemed more at getting his talking points in than in responding to specifics.

Then I take back the second post - “Meet the Press” is pretty hardball.

I’m not surprised he sucked there, though. He just mouths platitudes, I’d like to see Chris Wallace interview him.

"My opponent won't be able to say that I supported this war in Iraq or that I gave George Bush the benefit of the doubt on Iran or that I support that Bush-Cheney diplomacy of not talking to leaders we don't like," Obama said.

Let's see, we withdraw troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, hold a neutral position on Pakistan, stop supporting Israel, and open talks with Iran on their terms. Yeh, things should get soooo much better then.

A trip down to your local STD clinic will fix that right up for you, Mr. B. Hussein.
