God Bless you all, your prayers have held me up since I left. My precious mother did die about 4:45pm CST yesterday. I had gotten to the hospital about 10am. She was doing OK in ICU but her heart was in fibilation and drugs did not help it get into a good sinus rhythm. They tried a small shock through a tube down her throat which brought on another heart attack and they did CPR twice and brought her back twice but her BP was very weak. My brother and sister were both there to say goodye with me, all her surviving kids.
It was the hardest thing I have ever done, saying goodbye. I just didn't want her to go and at times felt like a 10 year old who was losing "mommy". It hurt so bad. No one loves me like she did. And I do know that love never dies. I am just going to really miss her. We understood each other and thought alike.
Her last words to me when I left the room so they could do the procedure were "Pray for Me". That's all I can do.
And just so you can get a flavor of her, we talked about the election, she asked who I had been listening to. She was up on the Hillary flap with the debate and the planted questions. She was always afraid Hillary would get elected. I told her don't worry take it from me she is headed down the toilet. And I do believe that. Yes she will go kicking and screaming (probably literally). I really think Al Gore is going to step in and be the nominee. I told mom she could put money on it. She was really looking forward to reading Mark Levin's new book - Rescuing Sprite. It should be getting delivered any day now. She said after she was done reading it she wanted my daughter to read it so I guess that will be a parting gift.
Thank you all again. The funeral is Thursday and Friday. Hug all your moms those who can!! There is no love like a mother's love.

I’ve ordered copies of Mark Levin’s book, Rescuing Sprite, for my mother and daughter as one of their Christmas gifts, along with copies of Justice Thomas’ book, My Grandfather’s Son.

I’ll keep you in my prayers. I know it will be difficult for you to get over missing her. Mother and I discuss politics (she and your mom were of like minds about Hillary!) and she is just as up on current events. I dread the day you’re suffering now.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. You didn’t have much time to prepare, are no doubt exhausted from the travel & now must sort through so very much on this devastating loss.

Wish we could be there to hold & hug you FReeper FRiend but do know that my mom(who is 89) and I will be holding you & your family up to the Lord in prayer in the difficult days ahead for you.

Keep us posted. Intellectually you KNOW she is in a better place but that does NOT stop the pain & loneliness, I know.

Am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear mom. She certainly sounded like a spirited woman with a good heart and a good, sharp mind. We know you will miss her. I lost my mother and father so I know of what I speak but...she will always be with you every single day of your life. Each day you will think of her and will be reminded of her one way or another. That is what is so comforting amidst all of the grief. I know everyday I think of mine and I either laugh at something as I remember or I shed a small tear. Either way...I know they are there with me as your mother is with you. Rest her soul and may you find comfort in knowing how much she loved you all and how you helped her pass over when her time came. As another freeper posted ... Mother...God’s greatest gift. She was a faith filled woman and has gone onto a place beyond suffering...She is standing in the presence of the Lord.

Your human hurt will take time...I’ve stood in your place through losing both of my parents...It’s hard to think of a world without them..It is hard to figure out how to do it.

With time you smile again...With time the good memories will crowd out the ache of loss.

Your Mom has left this world but she isn’t gone...Her love remains...God is not the God of the dead but of the living..and she is living with him now..

Oh, I am so sorry honey. I know it must be hard to tell your Mom goodbye. You will see her again.

I have my Mom here with me now (she’s 81). She has been feeling bad for a few days so I am taking care of her. I know at her age I won’t have many more years with her, so I cherish every moment with her. But I know I will face this someday and I dread it.
