I've never started a prayer request thread but my mom who is 84 is in the ER with a heart attack. I spoke with her last on Friday and she did not sound good. I will probably be on the road tomorrow, I would go tonight if my vision was better. She is Catholic as I am so if you pray the rosary which she has done every day for so many years, please add her name -Bernice- to your other intentions. Thanks from my heart.

It's a blessing, though a sad blessing, that you were all able to be with her at the end. You will treasure that, when you've found your balance a little bit.

Oh, I am so sorry honey. I know it must be hard to tell your Mom goodbye. You will see her again.
I have my Mom here with me now (she’s 81). She has been feeling bad for a few days so I am taking care of her. I know at her age I won’t have many more years with her, so I cherish every moment with her. But I know I will face this someday and I dread it.

I’m so sorry for your loss and pray that the Spirit of Jesus will give you comfort and peace. How blessed we are to know that we will see our loved ones again in heaven where there will be no more tears.

It snowed the night after her funeral and we all went out and played in it the next day like we were kids again.
And I am sure she was looking down smiling at all her chicks playing in the snow. That was a good, fun, mind clearing thing to do and glad you all had a good time. That’s what she would have wanted.

MomwithHope is a very appropriate name at this moment in time. Keep the faith. Bernice is a lovely, old fashioned name that you seldom hear any more. My aunt was named Bernice. I hope your mom gets better each and every day. Best wishes for you and your family.
I just read further down the thread and realized your mom has passed away. My condolences on your loss. I know how you feel. I lost my mom a few years ago, and it’s still painful to think about. But she is in a better place now. RIP.
May you find comfort in the Lord’s sovereignty and grace....so sorry to hear about your mother. :(
