You attended the “clinton school of politics”, didn’t you? What absolute hogwash spun as silk!

Arguments are more persuasive than assertions.
Can't you & I agree that everybody draws the line somewhere (about the other-worldly or this-worldly commitments of a candidate)? I mean some of us won't vote for a cultist (LDS, JW, or Scientologist). Some of us perhaps wouldn't vote for a Muslim at least for POTUS given the state of terrorism these days. Some of us wouldn't vote for a WICCA witch. Most of us wouldn't vote for a Satanist.
The principle is the same; it's just at different points along the line where somebody draws it.
Michael Reagan says it’s all about money...
Michael, all I can think of is words from a song...”I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold...”
“Arguments are more persuasive than assertions.”
Observations are more relevant.

Yes, I can agree on that.
I know I’m biased towards people of the Christian faith.
I know people who won’t vote for a Christian because our beliefs are weird. You’ve probably seen a few around here who won’t vote for someone who believes in creation.
I’m just willing to cut people slack on their personal beliefs, if they seem otherwise sane and have a good conservative message.
I realise that some figure if you can’t get faith right, you can’t be trusted on anything else. Well, I do trust people of my faith more, although they aren’t always trustworthy, and I realise that if we all based our decision on a narrow trust we wouldn’t come together with a majority for any candidate.
But I have to agree that, in both faith and in policy, there is a line over which a candidate will just be so unbelievable that it can’t be overcome.
If Mitt proves his muster, many will follow.
Every candidate who claims to be “personally opposed to abortion” should be asked:
“Why are you personally opposed to abortion?”
