Kerry says he’ll be ready next time
The Patriot Ledger ^ | 11/7/07 | Tom Benner

RANDOLPH -- John Kerry said Monday there might be a next time for his presidential aspirations, and if there is, the 63-year-old U.S. senator from Massachusetts says he’ll be ready for the political torpedoes that helped sink his 2004 White House bid.

Kerry, whose service as a U.S. Navy Swift boat skipper during the Vietnam War came under attack in his race against President Bush, said he has compiled a dossier on his war record critics that he wishes he had as the Democratic presidential nominee.

``We have put together a documented portfolio that frankly puts their lies in such a total light of absurdity and indecency, that should they ever rear their ugly heads again, we have every single ‘t’ crossed and ‘i’ dotted, and I welcome that in a sense,'' Kerry said following a morning address to the South Shore Chamber fo Commerce. ``It’s a shame we weren’t able to produce all that at the time.''

Kerry said he regrets his slowness to counter accusations from the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which faulted Kerry’s war record and his subsequent anti-war activism.

``I think the bigger problem was the campaign should have spent more money putting the truth out there,'' Kerry said. ``I think there was an assumption that is was out there, it was sufficiently out there.''

While Kerry is sitting out the 2008 presidential election n he’s instead focusing on his own his race next year for a sixth term as U.S. senator n he expects he’d be dogged by the same war record critics in a subsequent race for the White House.

Is he planning to release his service record (180 form)? Or worse, did he hire Sandy Berger shred it?

How does he plan to talk religious Blacks who are opposed to gay marriage into voting for him? Why does he think Blacks stayed away from the polls in Ohio? (Hint: gay marriage)

Has his Senate record changed --> uber liberal Senator from MA --> who flip flops repeatedly.

Has he stopped asking people "Do you know who I am?" when he pushes himself to the front of the line in restaurants or needs other services?

Has he stopped being all around obnoxious?

Kerry's one of those people that never will understand that the whole world sees him as he really is: a weak, opportunistic man that lost whatever cachet he could have had with his Vietnam service by betraying all of the rest of the hundreds of thousands of Vietnam veterans as soon as he got back.

We all got to see it during his goofy campaign and we'll all get to see it again if he tries raising himself any further than Massachusetts (they seem disposed to elected criminals and traitors - go figure).

He'd better hope he never runs into me face to face any time in his life - he has never apologized or recanted those rotten things he said about us. My fellow Marines and soldiers were the best people our nation ever produced and he had the gall to pretend that he was "one of us".

He lost that privelege when he met with our enemies and then lied before Congress. He tries to run again, we'll be back out on the streets again!

Good grief is this guy really that much of an imbecile. His 15 minutes were up long ago.

What part of Hillary’s two term presidential plan does Ketchup King not understand.

Hmmmm! He's 63 now. He is either saying that the first tier Dim candidates will all fall in this cycle and he'll be "drafted" as the Rat's savior or he's saying that the Dims will lose this cycle and he'll run in 2012 at age 68 or he's saying that the first term of the Rat President will be so disastrous that (s)he will not be able to be renominated by their own party. Otherwise, at age 72, he'll be too old as a first term candidate.

Any way I read his musings, it ain't good for the Rats. And that is good for the good guys!

"Has he stopped asking people "Do you know who I am?" when he pushes himself to the front of the line in restaurants or needs other services?"

I actually witnessed this at a Boston bagel shop. There were about 8-10 people waiting in a line when Kerry and 2 others came in. He went to the front of the line and asked whoever was back there if he could get a dozen bagles quickly because he was in a hurry. The guy 1st in line looked at Kerry and said (paraphrase), "Hey, there's a line here." Kerry said his famous "Do you know who I am"? The guy relied 'I don't give a crap who you are, your not getting served before me and if these other people want to let you walk all over them that's their business". A few of the people started clapping and Kerry, looking very embarrassed turned and walked out the door to the sound of congratulations from some of those in line to the guy who refused to back down from the war hero.

Still find it hard to believe that the dead Senator and Mr. Heintz with all his money settled on the “monkey woman” when he obviously could have done better.

If Kerry can almost win with his deceit, imagine what Hillary will accomplish.

After Bill let it slip that he thought Hillary’s campaign was going the same way as Kerry’s, Kerry had to say something.

He will never be “ready” because he will still be himself. Kerry should face reality—he had his shot and lost.

Sure John, and I’m ready to retake that History test from High School that I got a C on 3? years ago....guess how much good these things would do either one of us???

Thank God he didn’t get elected, he’d just now be getting around to figuring out what to do about 9/11.
