WATERVILLE, Maine -- Police said a white man's verbal assaults on a black man last month amounted to a hate crime.

According to police, Ralph Taylor pointed to his "white power" tattoo while taunting the black man on Oct. 20 and 21. The tattoo featured dual lightning bolts, a symbol associated with Adolf Hitler's SS corps.

Not enough information here to draw a conclusion one way or another.

Personally, I feel that hate crime legislation is racist in nature and biased as well. It is entirely subjective and should have no part in Law.

However, I have seen "White/Black/Brown Power" folks who deserve to have their teeth knocked down their throats. But who really knows what transpired here.
