If these purchases are coming out of their ministry, then I agree that they should be investigated.
I was thinking the same thing.
She’ll easily pass inspection...this is nothing to her since from a very young age she will sexually abused by her Father...so this should be a walk in the park for her. Since, she overcame that abusive behavior by a parent who is to protect you...the abuse of the nanny state government will easily be overcome.
I wonder what Dan did to get the tiny (2000 sq ft) house?
To be fair, both of them are on Sky Angel Christian programming and it does cost the ministries a lot of money to get on satellite and cable.

Do you have any proof?
This is unfortunate news. I really enjoy Joyce Meyers program & books.
Pretty embarrassing lack of journalistic integrity. Check out the list of errors they acknowledge, likely intentional.
This publication hates Meyer with a passion that leads them to outright lie.
I'm not defending Meyer's apparent excesses, but am wanting to defend her ministry against the misstatements being spread about it.
nobody ever investigates the churches that HIllary, Billary, Obama and John Edwards campaign from the pulpit.
I concur. The ECFA is a great organization, and I see no reason why a large ministry would not want to be part of it.
Please see my recent comments. As usual, there’s more to this story than is being reported.
Actually, I'm convinced that semantics is 100% of the problem, in this particular case, beacuse "commode" is NOT necessarily the same as "toilet". And props to Bahama Mama for upping the cultural ante, here, and being the first to point this out. Think "vanity" and you'll be closer to the mark, though that's still a bit basse classe. Frankly, if all you think of when you hear the word "commode" is a "toilet," you MIGHT be a redneck.
A "marble-topped commode" more likely describes a movable washstand having a marble top and cabinet or drawers below, or the piece of furniture described up-thread in 77. AND, FWIW, you won't find one at Home Depot; most assuredly if the particular piece in question is an antique.
Thank you.
After years of government corruption along the same lines this sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
Gee, I sure hope they’ll get around to eliminating earmarks and putting term limits in place...
Maybe so.Contributions are dropping faster than expenses.
Now operating in debt.
Hell, there ain't no might be about it......I'm a redneck. LOL Please excuse my lack of refinement and provincial and bucolic sensibilities. To me, a commode is a toilet and shall always be. Why wouldn't the article use "chest of drawers" or "chiffonier"? If it's not, in fact, a toilet, then I am inclined to think the author was being intentionally deceptive. It's irrelevant to me anyway. I can't afford a $23k toilet or chest of drawers. :)
If they have violated tax law, they need to be held accountable. And I’m certain will be.
But why so much envy and hatred towards wealth in the hands of Christians? Do you not believe God is capable of blessing his servants? Throughout the Bible the patriarchs were some of the wealthiest people in their times: Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Job (twice as wealthy after Satan’s attacks were ended). David, Solomon, Daniel all were promoted and given great riches. Was that not the result of God’s blessing?
Even Jesus had a treasurer and brought abundance (fish, bread, a coin from a fish to pay taxes, health, life, forgiveness) to everyone he met. In all cases God worked through people and nature to provide His Blessing. Heck Jesus even had a small fortune in perfume “wasted” on his feet - I wonder if that was reported to the Roman taxing authority?
If wealth and opulence bothers you, why not the same attitude towards professional athletes, celebrities, models, actors, lawyers, doctors, politicians, CEOs and those with inherited wealth? Have they “earned” their wealth any more than any of these evangelists? Have you “earned” your wealth?
Nobody forces anyone to buy books or tapes, or support these ministries in anyway. But maybe, just perhaps, they are helping people and showing them how to receive God’s very best for their lives.
Just a thought for the lynch mob that is gathering on this thread.
