To Anti-Huck Rock Throwers (Janet Folger On Why Values Voters Like Mike Alert)
Worldnetdaily.com ^ | 11/06/2007 | Janet Folger

I know of no other front-runner other than Mike Huckabee who will champion our causes of life, marriage, freedom and the courts. Here are the unacceptable alternatives:

* Mayor Rudy Giuliani: wrong on the Marriage Protection Act and wrong on the Sixth Commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."

* Gov. Mitt Romney: Beyond his abysmal judicial appointments (including naming homosexual activists to the courts even AFTER his conversion on every major issue), he's wrong on something even more basic: the Apostle's Creed. The creed all Christians believe states: "I believe "… in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary …" Romney, as a Mormon, doesn't believe Jesus was God's only Son (Lucifer, they claim, was his "brother"). Nor does he believe in the virgin birth. Instead, Mormon's believe God the Father had physical sex with Mary. The word blasphemy comes to mind. A bit more than a mere "denominational difference," don't you think?

* Sens. Fred Thompson and John McCain: both wrong on the Marriage Protection Act that would keep states from redefining our most basic institution. Both have since turned their backs on the Terri Schiavos of the world.

* Rep. Ron Paul: In addition to being against the Marriage Protection Act, Paul is an evolutionist who wouldn't protect the Terri Schiavos of the world from a starvation death because our Founding Fathers never thought to enumerate it in the Constitution. He also wants to legalize drugs and prostitution but wouldn't enforce obscenity violations. Don't believe me? See for yourself at ValuesVoterDebate.com.

* Hunter, Tancredo and Keyes are all great guys whose campaigns have no traction.

Janet Folger's process of elimination means there's only one candidate Values Voters can back. Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo and Alan Keyes are all terrific. But they have no chance of being nominated. That leaves Mike Huckabee for them. He's the only who can be considered a front-runner. Is he perfect? No - he has flaws. But he's clear as to where he stands on the issues of concern to people who think values - the right ones - should be society's dominant concern.

Hunter is going to blast right past that liberal with a theology degree.

Hucklebee is conservative on only one issue I’ve identified: abortion.

Beyond that is a liberal wasteland of bad ideas.

I like Duncan Hunter. The more I look at Fred Thompson, the more I'm convinced he just doesn't make the cut. I want marriage protected. I'd like to see the next President foster a Culture Of Life. I want someone knows there's a culture war going on in our country and is not afraid to stand up to the pagan Left.

Fred’s not only made the cut... he’s a cut above the rest. Huckster is a fraud as big as Precious Willard. They might as well be twins.

Mike Huckabee: wrong on trade. Wrong on borders. Wrong on the minimum wage. Wrong on property rights. Wrong on the global warmist-ecotard stalinist cult. Wrong on freedom.

Duncan Hunter has been standing up against the left before Hucksterbee knew the difference.

We are at war and the only candidate with experience with military and national security is Hunter.

Hunter has been on the issues of illegals and the border fence before others knew there was a border problem.

Hucksterbee is for amnesty and he may sould different at the moment but not his history.
He is also for giving illegals tuition breaks for school.

What part of illegal does Huck not understand.

Huck is from a town with the enter and leaving sign on the same post. He has no real world experience.

Of course Hunter would gain more traction if peopla that said, “He doesn’t have traction” will get behind him. Huckabee is liberal on everything but social issues, but I did hear he supports civil unions. I don’t know if that’s true or not. Duncan Hunter is conservative all the way around.

Huckabee will be Mitt’s running mate if Willard somehow buys the nomination. You heard it here first.

Mike Huckabee is a nanny-state, tax & spend, pro-amnesty liberal RINO.

>> Huckster is a fraud as big as Precious Willard. They might as well be twins. <<

Yep, nevermind the fact Huckabee was a HERO to FR back when he was actually IN office supposedly doing all this eeeeeeeeeevil nanny-state, illegal-alien lovin', Clintonite stuff. Must have slipped JimRob's mind when he TWICE had Huckabee as this forum's special guest at the FR inaugural ball. Not to mention all those crazy freepres who hailed his record on taxes back then and called him "he freeper governor". Silly me, I coulda sworn freepers would have screamed bloody murder if JimRob had invited an actual RINO governor like Christine Todd Whitman or Tom Kean to be our "honored guest"

Yeah, Huckabee was an eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil RINO during his governorship (despite massive evidence to the contrary by doing a simple check of achive threads about Huckabee posted when he was IN office). And Bush lied about WMD's (nobody thought of the WMD stuff til he brought it up, dontsa know), and Charleton Heston gloated about using guns the day after the Columbine massacre (Michael Moore told me so using handy-dandy Final Cut Pro editing skills to rearrange speeches). Oh, and let's not forget that Reagan caused AIDS.

History revisionism is our friend!

WAYYYYYYY too much mixing of church and state in this one for me.

And, yes, I know the phrase is from a Jefferson letter, not the Constitution.

Jefferson was right, though.

Mike’s “values” include forcing American taxpayers to flop open their wallets and hand over welfare and other government handouts to the illegal hordes. And if you disagree with Mike about this, well, then you are not as good a Christian as him. He said so.

Mike can take his “values” and stick them where the sun don’t shine.

I’m putting my money on Hunter. He is objectively the most balanced conservative, can bring in some blue-collar Reagan Democrats, and the national polls are designed to shape, not measure, public opinion. If we all did the RIGHT thing rather than what we perceive to be the popular thing, and left the outcome in God’s hands, our country would be much the better for it.

I almost stopped reading at the part where the author disqualifies Romney for supposedly not believing in the apostle's creed or the "virgin birth." Crap like this is why I stopped reading WND years ago.

Later, she blasts Ron Paul for not wanting to kidnap and lock in a cage people who take drugs, sell sex for money, and read porn...but claims Huck will stand up for freedom. The freedom to do what? Attend state-chaperoned square dances? No thanks, not my "values."
