While Hillary Clinton was speaking out both sides of her mouth at last night’s debate over the issue of drivers licenses for illegal aliens, what went unsaid is that this is a recipe for increased voter fraud.
Under the federal “Motor Voter” law (the National Voter Registration Act of 1993), states must provide applicants for drivers licenses with the opportunity to register to vote.
Giving legal drivers licenses to illegal immigrants is wrong and would provide them the opportunity to register to vote in our country. People who are not citizens of the United States should not be encouraged by pandering politicians to further break our laws and risk the health of our political system.

As far as I’m concerned, I think giving drivers licenses to illegals is a bad idea for a lot of reasons. I think we have to quit inducing people to come and stay if they’re illegal.
I think it’s a disservice to the millions of people who stood in long lines around the world at American embassies to come here and play by the rules and become American citizens and become productive and great parts of our society.
But when you’re making it easier, when you’re providing sanctuary cities and telling your local officials that they can’t even cooperate with federal authorities, and then saying its a federal responsibility, I think that’s an irresponsible way to go,
Drivers licenses are the nearest thing to an ID card that we’ve got in this country. Your need your drivers license for everything. Why aren’t they being apprehended and sent home if they come in and announce that they’re illegal?
We’ve either got to be serious enforcing our laws or not. I don’t think we can afford to be selective in that regard.
Don't you wonder why he never addressed it before and why he voted so often to just make the problem worse? Or why he's got so many open border advocates as advisors, like Spencer Abraham? Fred does not have a great record on immigration issues. Don't you wonder about that at all?

It was my understanding that he had been rather steady against illegal immigration. If that isn’t the case, then you can add him to my no confidence list.

B1 did get screwed, but in his instance it was Hermandad Nacional and the Republican Party that refused to defend him as they should have.
The RP has done a number of things over the last fifteen years that have left me wondering why they didn’t just join the Democrat party and be done with it.

My question is, why in the hell are they "terrified" of it when every poll I have seen is that something like 70% of the people in this country are for strong borders. What is there to be afraid of?
I think when you say "Republican" in this regard you are talking about RINOs and in my mind there are WAY too many of those in the party. Maybe it's time that a conservative party takes over the lead and relegates the RINOs to third party status. Oh, how I wish that could be true. Probably not in my lifetime, but I can hope...

Apparently Fred does “get it”. Exactly what will he do about it, is what I want to know. Talk is cheap.
All of these politicians should be asked exactly how they will deal with these important issues.
I agree. And what they did to B1 Bob was just inexcusable. I know the guy was a firebrand, but he kept some people honest too. Things like this have spoken volumes about where the Republicans were headed as a party.
When you cut the good ones loose, it’s real shame. What’s left is a much more leftist party.

my words .... it is against the law NOT to hand out the voter registration card AND the only instruction you can give is ...”Fill the form our correctly.” One of the questions asked is ... are you a United States Citizen.
The applicant then takes the card home and returns by mail, filled out then receives a legal voter card(s). It is that simple for an illegal to register to vote in the United States of America.
