A mandatory University of Delaware program requires residence hall students to acknowledge that "all whites are racist" and offers them "treatment" for any incorrect attitudes regarding class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality they might hold upon entering the school, according to a civil rights group.
"Somehow, the University of Delaware seems terrifyingly unaware that a state-sponsored institution of higher education in the United States does not have the legal right to engage in a program of systematic thought reform. The First Amendment protects the right to freedom of conscience – the right to keep our innermost thoughts free from governmental intrusion. It also protects the right to be free from compelled speech," said a letter from Samantha Harris, director of legal and public advocacy for The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education to university President Patrick Harker.
The organization cited excerpts from the university's Office of Residence Life Diversity Education Training documents, including the statement:
"A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. 'The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination….'"

My plan is simple. The moment anyone - a professor, colleague, or person from the university - calls me a racist, I file a defamation lawsuit. I’ll ask them to prove that I’m a racist. Then I’ll gladly take everything that isn’t tied down in civil penalties.
Yeah, I’m bitter about this, considering that 70 years ago “white” people wanted to see me and my family exterminated, and now academics are telling me that I’m as “white” as any other National Socialist. In the meantime, someone who looks “white” from Mexico or South America is now “Hispanic” and someone from Iran who looks “white” is oppressed by Islamophobia and racism.

Which ones would those be? This is not a unique position particularly at the college level. Our secondary schools are almost as bad.

I have found EVERONE of all colors to be prejudiced or biased to some degree.Its just part of the human condition.
I think its good to be aware of your prejudices so hopefully you will question the wisdom of maintaining them or not.
I understand the whole”blacks can’t be racist,they don’t have the power”concept.Yet look at Zimbabwe.When and if they HAVE the power they CAN and WILL be just as racist.
Why would watching the evening news make your more racist?Because some of the stories are about black criminals and Jesse Jackson types?
Most blacks are NOT criminals so why be racist against the whole group?.Just oppose the evil doers of ANY group.

My suggestion would be to just go the motions, get the degree, and then when the alumni association calls five years after graduation tell the alumni association to go f themselves. If after graduation, the person goes into the military, report contact with all the college zampolits under Air Force Regulation 205-57 or its equivalent.

I think they've opened themselves up nicely to being hypocrites if they try to block conservative speakers on campus or something like that. After all, they make the claim that their students are too smart to be easily indoctrinated.

There's a little school out here in the heartland, cornfield country, that I've heard has a pretty good engineering program. They call it Purdue. And as far as I know, they haven't gone over the Marxist ledge.

So then, are Whites racist because of their DNA? If so, then that means that their racism is the result of a genetic defect and they can’t help being racists. In other words, they are handicapped and thus protected under the Americans With Disabilities Act.
