Casey Heine of Beaver Dam, Wis., shot this 35-point buck. BEAVER DAM, Wis. Locals may have heard Casey Heine hollering through the marsh early in the morning of Sept. 29.
That's when he realized the size of his first big buck a whopping 35-pointer he had shot with a bow and arrow just outside of Beaver Dam.
"It's sure going to be hard to beat!" Heine said.
He could barely stand the mosquitoes at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 out in the field. But nearly two hours later, while he waited for a doe and fawn to come out of some brush, he heard something in the bean field. Then two deer ran along the line fence.
"I knew it was a nice buck," said Heine, 22, of Beaver Dam, about the 35-pointer. "However, I only glanced at the horns once or twice while it was running toward me."
Heine said he had no idea what the big buck, and a 4-point buck, were running from. Nonetheless, they went behind his hunting stand.
Kerry’s head should be mounted with it stuck in his rear end, for all posteriority.
(I thought this word was a joke, until I researched it in the dictionary. (Didn’t want to say “looked it up”.))
Of coarse. Your question just shows the sick society we live in. Sad state of affairs nowadays.

And getting sadder...
Atta boy! Haven’t seen one of those from my deer stand.
Thanks for the ping Grammy. I’m pinging my favorite Wisconsin freeper on this one.
Haven’t been on FR in a while, have had to attend two funerals in three weeks, but still hope we can go fishing when things settle down.
EHD has hit the deer herd here pretty hard in certain areas. I am seeing mostly younger deer at my feeder the past few weeks, so wondering if some of mine have died.
Also, I bet Diana is hunting deer as I type this. Good luck Diana. I hope when she moves to Tennessee she brings some of those big Wisconsin deer with her (grin). Also I bet Yank is hunting mule deer right now.
Some of us like to eat what we catch or shoot-imagine that!
Maybe that buck would look better with it’s rear end sticking out of someone’s windshield?
Awesome.
The deer might argue with ya. ;)
ROTFL...
I was a medic in the SE Asian Wargames. I never killed anyone, but after I came back I had the same experience as you. However, I could still walk across a stack of dead bodies on my way to breakfast.
I have a lot of vet friends that have experienced the same thing. A few seem to have shrugged it off... I'm not one.
“He should have let that one go.”
Do you know ANYTHING about hunting deer? That buck has most likely populated that entire COUNTY by this time in his life. He’s done his work, LOL!
Nope. That’s one for the wall. BRAVO! :) I still haven’t gotten a buck. A few fat does, but that’s nothing to brag about, other than the fact that it helped feed my family for those years. Does are better eating too, IMHO. :)
“Any vets out there, experience the same change?”
Nope. I can easily separate hunting for food versus fighting for freedom. I’ve hunted since the early 80’s when I was married to a Navy SEAL who was an awesome hunter (of critters, and people when necessary.)
I’m no longer married to him, but he taught me a lot of valuable lessons on both sides of the scope. ;)
Thanks Osage, for the ping. That’s quite a deer, quite a bow shot.
“Also, I bet Diana is hunting deer as I type this. Good luck Diana. I hope when she moves to Tennessee she brings some of those big Wisconsin deer with her (grin).”
LOL! Just caught that one. I’ll be driving this season. I let the latest generation of menfolk in our family take ‘em down now. I don’t mind stocking the fridge with beer, stoking up the wood stove in the machine shed, keeping the chili warm and helping with the butchering, though.
That way, I always get the tenderloins, LOL!
“as for the other fellow talking about age and being tough this is BS also.”
Sorry, but I disagree.
I have 9 hams, 6 shoulders and a bunch of backstrap in the freezer right now. A mature buck is much tougher and no where near as tasty as a yearling or 2 year old. There is a reason that on the beef market, veal brings a premimum. Deer are the same. I let the mature bucks walk unless it ia a wallhanger.
Love that song.
