Kristinn Taylor, co-leader of the D.C. chapter of FreeRepublic.com, is hoping that the city eventually addresses the de-facto hotel/lobbying operation run by the group Code Pink from a residentially zoned five-bedroom row house at 712 Fifth St. NE.
Mr. Taylor's puzzlement is understandable, for the Code Pink provocateurs advertise the apparent zoning violations on their Web site, www.codepink4peace.org.
"The bedrooms vary in size and can house two to four activists in each," the far-left group writes in the D.C. section of the site.
The Code Pinkies say the brownstone can handle as many as 20 activists at a time, which is an apparent violation of the District's zoning laws regarding residential properties.
Mr. Taylor says he and his band of freedom-loving patriots descend on the Code Pink headquarters each Wednesday night to point out the egregious housing violation of a group that has an affinity for Hugo Chavez and Marxist ideology.
"I don't like Code Pink personally," Mr. Taylor said yesterday. "But this housing situation has been so blatant on their part that we felt we should be out there to raise the issue."
SNIP
For now, Mr. Taylor's group is monitoring the crowded living conditions of Code Pink. The city no doubt will pass judgment soon enough.

On the front page Code Pink is allowed to assault the Secretary of State when she showed up to testify at a house hearing. Rice sees red and Pink
Desiree Anita Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz, of the antiwar group Code Pink, accosted Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice , of the antiwar group Code Pink, accosted Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Note that TWT identifies Ms Ali-Fairooz as a member of an anti war group as opposed to a socialist anti-American group.
Followup to ealier reports on the DC Chapter’s efforts to have the DC Government enforce its laws.
A few houses down the street a yard sign says “Give me the vote now!”
Bon Chance.
Wait!
You’re expecting DC, the bastion of Demoracts, Corruption and Lieralism to do ANYTHING to stop these people?
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese.
D.C. Motto: “We’re Worse Than Trenton”
By the way, I think it was entirely appropriate for the seditious Code Pinko to have blood on her hands yesterday. They should all display blood on their hands as they have done so much to extend the war in Iraq, embolden the enemy, and thereby cause more death and mayhem for our troops and for the Iraqis who are often terrorist targets. The insurgents know if they kill more civilians, the Code Pinkos will get more traction here. And if the Pinkos get more traction, they'll have even more success in talking the traitorous Dems into pushing for surrender. And the cycle continues. Blood is already on the Code Pinko's hands. It just isn't as evident as it was yesterday when the Code Pinko traitor subhuman acosted Secretary of State Condaleeza Rice.
By keeping this in the public eye, it accomplishes something very good, even if unintended. It keeps the issue in front of the public, and other people who are cited for petty matters will begin to be angry as the see the double standard of the petty bureaucrats. The begin to question: "Why was I cited for _____________ when this Code Pink group is exempt from the same law?"
“We’re worse than Trenton!”
Now that’s something to rally around.
What’s their rule book? Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals
Rule #6: “A Good Tactic Is One Your People Enjoy”
Code Pink enjoys it. That’s why they do it.
Rule #8: Keep The Pressure. Never Let Up
Quoth Sun Tzu: “Know thy self, know thy enemy.”
“D.C. Motto: Were Worse Than Trenton”
But the DC meter maids are VERY efficient.
Can they be evicted for having old and dusty carpets?
About CodePink accosting Condi yesterday, I called the Capital Police, the Speaker, the Minority leader, Cong Lantos, and my Congressman.
And asked them what the hell kind of government security they are running, and asked that this women be charged to the fullest.
Everyone should do the same. (called my Congressman again today, he has been getting calls)
Republicans in Congress should be raising hell today, and CP should be banned from protests in the Capital.
It’s not like she was hiding the fact that she was from Code Stink. It was on her tee shirt.
Does Code Pink own this building or do they rent?
Leave us not forget that Hillary Rodham was an Alinsky protege during her days at Yale Law School.
“...Hillary Rodham was an Alinsky protege...”
That’s why I posted as I did.
Code Pink-o is packing them in like Cockroaches. Yes, DC ought to shutter the place due to housing violations!!!!!!!
What do you know about the owner?
A rental? REALLY??
Mu-hu-hu-ha-ha-hahaaaaa!
Have you ever heard of a tool called a “Safe Streets Action”?
Thanks for posting, JVB. Keep up the good work Kristinn!
I called the office of the Ranking Republican on the Foreign Affairs Committee, Ileana Ros-Leitenin, and asked the telephone answerer if the Ms Ros-Leitenin had made any statement about the attack on Secretary Rice. She told me that there would be no statement, because “she had no power, there would be no point.” I said that she could defend the dignity of the Secretary of State of the United States, and I was very disappointed by her silence, as I had always admired her willingness to speak out, etc etc.
The aide told me that these are the same five women who have been doing the same things for the past three months. {I didn’t mention that they have been doing it since 2002.) Three were arrested and released, She was not privy to what happens between arrest and release.
She told me that they cannot be kept from the hearing rooms. Entry is by first-come-first-served, so they can sit anywhere they want. It is against the Constitution to keep them out! Apparentlly no matter how many times they are “arrested.” Only the committee chairman has any say over the matter.
