FOX News cameras went inside an operating room as a 20-year-old student underwent an abortion, as part of a documentary titled "Facing Reality, Choice," that will air Saturday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX News Channel.

In the scene FOX does not focus on the surgical details of the abortion procedure, but it is emotionally wrenching, however, as the woman cries through the abortion and her mother, beside her for emotional support, learns this is her daughter's second abortion in less than a year.

The FOX documentary profiles three women to explore the abortion issue by following their agonizing decisions to have their babies or terminate their pregnancies.

I can’t believe the mother would sit by as her daughter had an abortion.

If it's just a parasite/clump of cells then there should be no agony about the decision. I never agonize about getting my hair cut.
If there is agony about the decision, isn't that saying it isn't just a parasite/clump of cells which means it's a baby and shouldn't be killed?

Should be an eye-opener.

That's what I'm thinking. Too many women and girls (children) make the decision to have an abortion without really looking at what they are going to be going through, and without realizing what they are doing to their baby. They think "I couldn't possibly go through with giving up my baby after carrying it for 9 months, and I certainly am not prepared to care for it myself", but they forget that the alternative may be the worst choice of all.

I can’t believe the mother would sit by as her daughter had an abortion.

And with out the scourge of Roe v. Wade, the doctor, the nurses, mother and the abortion patient would all be in prison.

Doesn’t sound like any of these ol’gals ever agonized ~ they couldn’t even be bothered with a baby.

Adoption....

Should be the only legal alternative to keeping the baby.

It would be nice if you read the article.

as well as a 20-something married couple, Brooke and Tom, desperately trying to have a second child. Brooke finally conceives, but four months into her pregnancy they learn that their baby has a fatal genetic defect and that it will survive no more than a few hours after it is born.

I can’t believe the grandmother of that baby could sit by and allow the daughter to do that.

My unmarried daughter got pregnant at 21 and was considering an abortion. My husband and I threatened her with everything we had to prevent it, from disowning her to physically restraining her. She finally gave in and we have the most beautiful granddaughter ever! We have taken over most of the financial requirements such as school activities, medical bills, clothes, dental bills (braces )etc. but it was worth it. I don’t know how people can live with themselves after an abortion. My daughter has a great job with benefits but even at 33 she has no common sense. She can’t manage her finances worth a hoot. Believe me, we tried to teach her responsibility but it went in one ear and out the other. We probably did too much for her that caused her to be like this but it was obvious from a young age that she would never have any common sense. It pains me to say that.

Anyway, we promised her that if she wouldn’t abort the baby we would help with the larger portion of the cost of raising a child and we have and will continue to do so. We would have done anything to stop an abortion. Luckily for us, she learned from this incident and hasn’t repeated it. In order to keep them close we gave them an acre of land on the farm to put a nice mobile home on. They are only 500 feet away and we can keep an eye on things. I know it sounds like we meddle but we don’t. We are just there if they need us. She gets free babysitting and everything. LOL I know that by doing so much for her that we are enabling her but believe me, this girl could never make it on her own.

There, that’s my dirty laundry aired for the whole Net to see. My point is, what the heck is wrong with this girl’s parents, especially her mother, that they could condone this?

People make me sick!

You may be an enabler, but never forget, you enabled life over death. You are a hero. We need more enablers like you.

God bless you and your family.

That’s not airing dirty laundry! That is telling the world that your granddaughter could have been killed by an abortion if you hadn’t stepped in to help.

Anyone who would criticize YOU for what you did, or for your daughter’s mistakes, has never been a parent. Kids don’t always make the right decisions. You did the right thing.

Congratulations! I can’t wait for grandchildren.

What a tragedy to find out you are having a child with birth defects. But what is the rationale of KILLING your child so it won’t die????

Good point.

I find this documentary very suspicious.

I trust nothing from the MSM. Not even Fox.

What are the actual percentages of abortion being necessary in a case like Brooke and Toms’? Around 1 in 1,000,000,000?

And will they be focusing on the racist agenda that is abortion? That legal abortion in America is primarily designed to reduce the poor black population?

I don’t think I can watch this. I’ll be 35 weeks pregnant and I can’t handle the thought of any precious child being murdered, especially at such a vulnerable time. These children move and kick and make their presence known, how any person can kill them is beyond my comprehension.

if only all of our dirty laundry involved a saved life. You might be enabling your daughter....but your grandaughter is alive because of it. God bless you for loving both so much.
