The book writer is saying that Eleanor Rooseveldt was more independent of Franklin thatn Hillary is of Bill. She says Hillary is dependent on him. The ladies don’t like that.

Re: Pepperdine it has a lovely location, but it isn’t a good idea to build a big city in a desert climate with a lot of vegetation.
The unfortunate thing is that to a great chunk of uninformed people (and those who may well vote) they are still relevant.
