Air America Host Randi Rhodes Mugged

Air America Radio host Randi Rhodes was mugged near her Manhattan apartment Sunday night, losing several teeth in a brutal attack that has knocked her off the air while she recuperates, fellow host Jon Elliott announced on his show early Tuesday morning.
"It is with sadness that tonight I inform you that my Air America colleague Randi Rhodes was assaulted last night while walking her dog near her New York City home," Elliott told his listeners this morning on Air America.
The attack took place near the corner of 39th Street and Park Avenue, Elliot said.
Because Rhodes was wearing a jogging suit and had neither a purse nor jewelry, Elliott speculated that "this does not appear to me to be a standard grab the money and run mugging."
"Is this an attempt by the right wing hate machine to silence one of our own?" he asked on the air. "Are we threatening them? Are they afraid that we're winning? Are they trying to silence intimidate us?"
Rhodes has been with Air America Radio since it launched in 2004, becoming a mainstay of the national liberal radio network. Her show airs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern weekdays. Lionel filled in for her show Monday afternoon, but no announcement was made of the reason.
An Air America representative confirmed Tuesday morning that Rhodes was mugged. Calls have been made to Rhodes and the New York City police department's press office, and as more details become available they'll be reported here.

I don’t gloat that she was mugged nor did I when Dan Rather was assaulted on the street.
But some seize upon such opportunity to attack the political opposition ABD express their own dreams of doing such a physical attack. I’m just pointing out her own thuggish attitude.
She is a vile person, as was Maddy Murray O’Hare. Maybe there is a positive trait about their personalities I missed. They sure liked to share bitterness.

It’s just so sad when a bleeding heart liberal gets their head beat in by the very same homies, vatos, and gangbangers that they just love to defend. Notice that they havent mentioned the race of the attackers?

They brought up the BS about the KPFT shooting in that press release. The BS being about how the recent drive by was somehow related to the KKK bombing incident of the early 1970s. And Democracy Now played the “recreation” of the bombing of the station’s transmitter COMPLETE with explosion sounds. There are no microphones at a transmitter. When it goes off the air you just get dead air.
I speculated that it was the radical Left who took at shot at KPFT. The hardcore anarcho-left does not like the music programming taking up time that could host more radical leftist political talk.
There has been arson of the music collection. There have been restraining orders and assaults on persons working for the station.
It is not right-wingers who pose a threat to KPFT but the Stalinists love a good lie to smear the opposition.

Instead of asking for prayers for Ms. Rhodes recovery, this jerk decides to use her suffering as a political ploy.
Well, I'll say it - let us pray for her recovery, and for the capture of her attacker.

No police report...it is now being reported that she wasn’t mugged...she fell down.
