They brought up the BS about the KPFT shooting in that press release. The BS being about how the recent drive by was somehow related to the KKK bombing incident of the early 1970s. And Democracy Now played the “recreation” of the bombing of the station’s transmitter COMPLETE with explosion sounds. There are no microphones at a transmitter. When it goes off the air you just get dead air.

I speculated that it was the radical Left who took at shot at KPFT. The hardcore anarcho-left does not like the music programming taking up time that could host more radical leftist political talk.

There has been arson of the music collection. There have been restraining orders and assaults on persons working for the station.

It is not right-wingers who pose a threat to KPFT but the Stalinists love a good lie to smear the opposition.
