Mom' and 'Dad' banished by California
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | October 13, 2007

Posted on 10/13/2007 4:19:32 AM PDT by Man50D

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.

"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.

"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said.

HA!!!!
Karen-Karen-Karen, c'mon now.
Where ya been the past few years, huh?

Not necessarily.
Perhaps the Terminator's hoping there's another reaction to this move?
Maybe an effort to force the hands of truly concerned parent(s), helping 'em get off the fence concerning home schooling making 'em act *now*, not later?

Sure would be nice if that were the case.
It'd solve a whole host of problems which now manifest in the sociopathic bullshit going on today in our public cess pools/indoctrination center-schools.

OTOH such a scheme would be a tad risky, *innovative*.

...for a Republican.

HA!!
Be advised one fights this stuff at the risk of winding-up sent to a *reeducation camp* for re-grooving.

What's really alarming --IMO-- is looking at the photo of Gov AAnoed at the WND site.
Is it or is it not similar to a *face* we've seen, before?

...ala Michael Jackson. ;^)

>>Please read the bill:
http://info.sen.ca.gov/pub/07-08/bill/sen/sb_0751-0800/sb_777_bill_20070223_introduced.html
.....

Perhaps I am slow today but I didn’t find the words, mom, dad, husband or wife in that bill.<<

That is also the way I read it. There really seem to be a lot of factual innacuracies designed to inflame.

There are plenty of real things in this world to be upset about without making up more.

Arnold: A prefiguration of President Rudolph Giuliani. In other words, and as we were told, at least he's a Republican--and not one those godless, pro-abortion, pro-gay Democrats.

This is the culmination of the "lesser of two evils" way of thinking. Party affiliation means nothing!

He also likes a captive audience. That's why every moonbat and pervert with an agenda that can't be sold elsewhere is drawn to the schoolag archipelago like flies to... you know.

Excellent turn of Solzhenitsyn phrase. Maybe the old saying is true: Those who can't, teach.

Since when did relying upon the government--and the California state government, in particular--to educate our kids become a good idea? We both know the answer. ;)

"I am amazed. Why is there no national coverage of this? I haven’t even seen it on Fox. You’d think at least THEY would cover it?"

Welcome to the USSA!

Where have you been? This has been going on for about ten years. No, the Drive-bys are not going to cover it, because if they did the dems would be dead meat.

"The moms and dads in California seem okay with this."

No, they're just in the dark about it. Only Worldnetdaily has the courage to cover real world news; the drive-bys don't cover it at all. (not even newsmacks)

This is why I will not vote rino, they are the problem with the so call conservative GOP.

My sentiments EXACTLY!! And now many in the Republican Party (the 20%ers--aka Rudy apologists) are supporting a liberal nominee like Giuliani??? geeeez

If you think that the Republican Party is just NOT LIBERAL ENOUGH....

and you want to greatly accelerate that movement 'to the left'....

so that we end up with the LIBERAL NIRVANA of two political parties,,,BOTH to the 'left of center',,,

a LIBERAL like Rudy is the RIGHT MAN,,,at the RIGHT TIME!!!

>>A boy could put on some lipstick and hit the girls’ shower.<<

He would likely find he would not be allowed to switch back - and being transgendered would be part of his school record.

I remember from high school how torturous it was for a kid to be called gay - I would think being locking into transgendered would be much worse.

I suspect boys will continue to look into girls locker rooms the old fashioned way - holes in the wall, looking down from the ceiling etc.

I think the real concern is girls being uncomfortable because the boys who think they genuinely are transgendered will still be boys to most girls.

If they really want to “accommodate” then adding some single stall restrooms usable by any gender seems much less disruptive.

Beware when government changes definitions law. It's like jumping from the fry pan into the fire!

"This bill would revise the list of prohibited..."

Government in our Crook County, IL has revised the definition of an "assault weapons" from specific types to vague cosmetic features. Basically, "anything we damn choose!"

We know liberals here, and CA is where they look up to.

Yes, I did indeed misunderstand. My apologies to you. I’ve lived in this state 43 out of my 48 years and I have yet to see another state which can offer the variety of opportunities, both professional and leisure, that this state has to offer despite all the negatives with CA politics.

I would certainly prefer it simply said “equal protection for all students” instead of any list of who gets equal protection.

My main point though is that the article appears to be false. And that this is something of a trend for this source.

<< Our kids will have to call us something like Housekeeper or Money Earner. >>

Laura Ingraham said this a.m. we’d be calling parents “thing 1” & “thing 2” LOL.

On a similar note... I am guilty of referring to my children’s father as “their father” instead of “my husband” because I have fallen into the PC norm posed by single parents.

Agree.. World Net Daily tends to take a set of facts and jump to wild conclusions.  However, looking at this bill:

• Section 51500. Prohibiting bias in teacher instruction or school sponsored activities.
• Section 51501. Prohibiting the adoption of biased textbooks or instructional materials by the State Board of Education.
• Section 60044. Prohibiting the adoption of biased instructional materials by any school board.
• Section 66251. Guaranteeing equal opportunity in postsecondary educational institutions.
• Section 66270. Prohibiting discrimination in the programs and activities of postsecondary institutions.

Although SR777 does not explicitly mention "mom" or "dad", I can see how this opens the door (I mean a huge wide door) should a complaint be filed.  Looks like the bill's author, Sheila Kuhel, has the bases covered.

"Most Republicans today buy into at least half of the gay/lesbian/socialist/anti-smoking/global-warming agenda."

I know it. That's why Julie Annie leads the pack.
If that bum gets nominated, that will mark the official end of the Reagan Revolution.

I'll vote third party or not at all.
