Mom' and 'Dad' banished by California
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | October 13, 2007

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.

"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.

"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said.

That’s running away from the problem! In the short term, homeschooling is an option, but we MUST retake or eliminate the public schools. Why? Homeschooling may be great, but it will never work for the vast majority of children. The same can be said for private schooling. Most people are unable or unwilling to pay twice (once through taxes, again through tuition) for private schooling.

To me, the saddest part of this change in California is the fact that they are literally willing to destroy traditional society for the benefit of so few. Even if people think homosexuality is OK (and I don’t), why change an entire education system for the benefit of a very, very tiny minority??? Certainly this doesn’t represent the majority opinion in California, does it????

We do not have reparations now, we only have a welfare state.

The Great Society welfare programs were designed to be, and have in practice always been, a form of reparations.

Duncan Hunter has no plan to replace the welfare state with anything. He therefore supports reparations.

See?

Um, is this for real? Or is this some comic relief thread? I’ve not heard a thing about this and I work in public education.

To be fair, I don't think most people would have guessed Arnold would have turned out to be a total socialist lunatic.

With all due respect, evidence was provided to conclude that he would turn out exactly how he has but many chose to wear blinders and ignore the signs, either buying into fear (of the hapless loser Bustamante) or wanting to believe that Arnold was a conservative.

What I find truly disturbing is the number of people on this thread, instead of acknowledging that fact, still putting on their blinders and denying the substance of the article. If you read the law and the multiple articles written on this subject, the application of the law to advance the leftist agenda is obvious. Some still want to support this Kennedy celebrity because he has an "R" by his name. When will folks wake up and realize this is NOT winning? Arnold is a Trojan Horse put in place to disrupt and destroy--and advance the lefts' agenda.

Sure, I'll use the politically correct term, if you insist: Japanese American internment camps. There. A lovely place to be.

No they weren’t. They are just straight up socialism not based on race. Ending the welfare programs at this point isn’t happening. Too many big spenders in both parties. At best we can keep spending flat +-1%. If we get more people like Paul & Hunter in not only the House but the Senate, we can talk about eliminating all of the federal welfare programs. At this point for 2008 we’re closer to ADDING another program (Hillarycare) than removing any programs. Sad but true.

Yes—it’s for real

It’s been opposed all year by Republicans and was identified as one of the MUST-VETO bills
by conservative websites and legislators(R).

I supported Tom. The aRINOld republicans are still here, supporting tootyfruityRudy and other liberals.

They simply have not learned the lesson and, I’m starting to think that it is a willfulness behind the lack of learning. They AGREE with it.

With only a few exceptions, it doesn’t look like there are any “real” republicans in my State any longer. Even a large percentage of registered repubs here are willing to vote for RINO’s, who then take this State further to the left with every stroke of a pen.

Don’t blame me, I voted for Tom McClintock.
***Same here. We are seeing the rise of the UIN Republicans. They’ll vote for anything with an R in front of it, regardless of what it means for us.
