And what is the definition of a "high-crime" area? Is the definition so specific that one can go a find it on a map? Are the exact blocks and sides of the street listed?

Also, if a police cruiser is driving by and sees someone waving his arms, how does he know that that person was convicted of a prostitution offense in the last two years?

Once he goes up to the person he might be able to look up the info on his computer, but then he might need to arrest the guy and bring him downtown and hold him until the info is retrieved.

This is way too vague and silly and slippery.

Honestly, folks, I'm not in favor of participating, but let's let these consenting adults do what they want. Lets get them off the streets, regulate it, make sure they have regular check-ups, and tax the carp out of it.

I figure the way to safely solicit a "pro" is to ask her to do your laundry for $x/hour. After all, if she's willing to do what pro's do for the same amount, then she should be delirious to do a load of laundry. (Why do I think this is not the case, and what would that mean?)

Yes you are right. Taxes are bad and I don’t like to advocate for them. In this instance there is reason to do so. If we’re going to demand people run decent establishments free from disease and criminal enterprise, we need to have some sort of funding for the inspectors.

This may rub you the wrong way, but it would be a vast improvement over what is taking place now.
