I thought it was brain surgery. That might have explained quite a bit....

It was not meant for you. It's what the scriptures teach us on love. If one has NO love for his brother, The Father is not in him. So, if these bozos say Jesus Christ is their Lord without love...they are liars. I John teaches this quite strongly.
1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

People such as yourself say things that are meant for me, even if you think they weren't. :-) It's O.K. For certain you know that the love written about isn't the sort that we commonly think of. It's unfathomable. We get a glimps in Isaiah 53:10 where the prophet writes -
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. (Isaiah 53:10).
It PLEASED Him to bruise him?...and put him to grief?
That's some tough love, especially since He did this for us. It's the type required to give a drunk a ride home, even though he's smelly and borderline beligerant. It's the type required to deal "properly" with the reaction of unfounded hate in this world toward God and things of His perspective.
:-)

Ted Kennedy has now reached Keef Richards-land. He cannot be killed by conventional weapons. Choose the explanation:
a: Satan looks after his agents on Earth,
b: Like Voldemort, he can't be destroyed while any shred of him survives, or
c: neither God nor Satan want anything to do with him - hence he continues.

I don’t think a Kennedy is ever that drunk.

When I die, I want to go out like Ted Kennedy, with a smile on my face, not like his girlfriend, screaming and crying and trying to roll the dead weight off.
...Get well soon, Senator.

This was very surprising to me. When one thinks of "public health" the first thought that comes to our mind is Ted Kennedy. He is working very hard to combat those stinky smelly cigarette smokers and push for useless FDA regulations of the evil tobacco weed. I wish Ted a speedy recovery from that global health menace which he needs to confront through Gubmint control, legislation and his seat of power...Bacon Double Cheeseburgers and Dewars.

You have to be careful, for sure. We all criticize, it’s human, but it’s also still wrong in both my opinion and the opinion of God.
The bible tells you to not judge others, in more than one place, and in more than one way. You can take apart the verse that tells us judge not, or you will be judged. And yes, it also warns us to not by a hypocrite, one of Gods serious annoyances. But there are also other places in the bible calling the same in different ways, clearly telling us to not be judgmental. I cite James 4:12-
“There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?”
How can you misread that? It doesn’t matter who he was talking to and in what context, this is a clear statement.
Besides, when speaking with his disciples, he told them this. Now wouldn’t those of us who try to be humble in the eyes of God not also be held to the same standard? God wants us to set an example by leading a peaceful and loving life while spreading his word.
Some time ago when I was struggling with the idea of going to church, I kept talking myself out of it. One of the big reasons is that I did not want to walk into a pit of people who thought they were somehow better, smarter, more important.. and worst of all, more holy than me, just as displayed earlier in this thread. I hope anyone else who is in that position today does not think this is the type of criticism they will be met with. As unfortunate as it is, these people do exist, but are not the norm, it is rare. We are all equal in the eyes of God. Where the split comes is when it is decided who will and who will not enter his new kingdom.
