It was not meant for you. It's what the scriptures teach us on love. If one has NO love for his brother, The Father is not in him. So, if these bozos say Jesus Christ is their Lord without love...they are liars. I John teaches this quite strongly.

1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

People such as yourself say things that are meant for me, even if you think they weren't. :-) It's O.K. For certain you know that the love written about isn't the sort that we commonly think of. It's unfathomable. We get a glimps in Isaiah 53:10 where the prophet writes -

“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.” (Isaiah 53:10).

It PLEASED Him to bruise him?...and put him to grief?

That's some tough love, especially since He did this for us. It's the type required to give a drunk a ride home, even though he's smelly and borderline beligerant. It's the type required to deal "properly" with the reaction of unfounded hate in this world toward God and things of His perspective.
