Slash-and-burn columnist Ann Coulter shocked a cable TV talk-show audience Monday when she declared that Jews need to be "perfected" by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian.
Coulter made the remarkable statements during an often heated appearance to promote her new book on advertising guru Danny Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea."
In response to a question from Deutsch asking Coulter if "it would be better if we were all Christian," the controversial columnist responded: "Yes."
"We should all be Christian?" Deutsch repeated.
"Yes," Coulter responded, asking Deutsch, who is Jewish, if he would like to "come to church with me."
Deutsch, pressing Coulter further, asked, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians?" She responded: "Yeah."
Coulter deflected Deutsch's assertion that her comments were anti-Semitic, matter-of-factly telling the show's obviously upset host, "That is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews."

Thank you Mary. I have read before that in the old times when the Jewish scholars were writing copies of the Bible every time they had to write the name Yahwa or Alohim for God, they used to go and wash their hands before writing it down.

Conservatives and Christians are many times two entirely different people and I commend Ann for stating the teachings she believes in right up front-—too bad so many Freepers and ‘faint of heart’ Christians get their shorts twisted when someone states facts with courage-—no matter how the truth is spoken the lefties will jump on it and push their agenda anyway-—if you would like to skip the truths to mollify the sworn enemies of ‘truth and light’, go right ahead but the end results will be the same—I know this, since I have read the Book and know the ending of the story-—we have been told to fight for the right reasons and follow God’s plan-—we shrink from following those words at our eternal peril even though it will get much worse before it is better-—God keep you safe in these and the coming perilous times

Gee, that’s odd since He sent His Son as the payment for our sins. I guess we’ll have to take it up with Him on Judgement Day.
All this happens when Jesus returns for the second time. It’s called the Second Coming. He will then have his Kingdom here on earth and will reign for 1000 years where there’ll be peace. After that satan is released for a while. Then he’s tossed into the everlasting lake of fire and we’ll have peace forevermore.
Christians are commanded by Jesus Christ to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel. That’s what we’re to do and we’re to be obedient to God. To our shame, most of us don’t.

Oh, I understand alright. I worked at a university for 28 years, but they did know where I stood and I just showed God’s love to them. Never had a problem with any of them until I spoke about Mr. Clinton one day in the history department. Whoo, did the grits hit the fan then! I also had a George Bush door and it used to drive them nuts.
Ann proclaiming the Gospel and not backing down was actually doing what we are commanded to do. She was simply speaking the Truth and talking about Salvation.

I wish we had that same respect for God now. Hollywood brings Him down to our level (or lower) and even Christians don’t revere Him as we should. We often live carelessly, using His name. God bless.

I’m a Christian, so I have to say yes to that. Otherwise, I would be a Buddhist or a Mormon or a .... fill in the blanks.
well, if she actually did, we all need eachother to empower and defend against the muslim and athiest world.
That’s right. People are offended by Jesus because He IS the rock of offense. We shouldn’t be surprised or shocked when non-believers get their panties in a twist when His beloved Name is mentioned.
I remember a Woody Allen film where he is walking down this path with the Grim Reaper. He turned towards the Grim Reaper and asked “So if Jesus was a carpenter what kind of cabinets do you think he made.”

I'm sorry.. but, Christians are not allowed to be well-mannered and keep our beliefs to ourselves. We are compelled by Christ to "share", (not inflict) our faith with others.
That said, we all must be respectful of others, and find the "most effective" way to teach others about our the marvelous benefits of our faith. Sometimes the best way is through direct approach. Often, the best way is the more subtle approach of just being a good example.
In any event.. NOTHING Ann said was in any way disrespect, or intended to "inflict" faith on anyone.
