Slash-and-burn columnist Ann Coulter shocked a cable TV talk-show audience Monday when she declared that Jews need to be "perfected" by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian.
Coulter made the remarkable statements during an often heated appearance to promote her new book on advertising guru Danny Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea."
In response to a question from Deutsch asking Coulter if "it would be better if we were all Christian," the controversial columnist responded: "Yes."
"We should all be Christian?" Deutsch repeated.
"Yes," Coulter responded, asking Deutsch, who is Jewish, if he would like to "come to church with me."
Deutsch, pressing Coulter further, asked, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians?" She responded: "Yeah."
Coulter deflected Deutsch's assertion that her comments were anti-Semitic, matter-of-factly telling the show's obviously upset host, "That is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews."

But they are. She never said Jews should be forced to convert. This is the first time in years she's said something I can agree with.
No. But for a Jew to become Christian, they must ackowledge Christ as the Messiah and that He is risen again.
“...if we were all true Christians, the world WOULD be a much better place.”
My only concern would be who gets to decide out of the umpteen dozen denominations which one is the TRUE Christian Church?
Sorry - but the Bible makes it clear that "belief" in God is not sufficient:
James 2:19 - You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believeand tremble!
When this verse says "You do well," Paul was using sarcasm to get his point across. He's speaking to a "foolish man" and he says that the man's belief in God puts him on par with the demons.
Cool. Found a good place to bump this thread, and some day I look forward to spending a lot of time with you in discussing these things. For now, though, we’re stranded in time.
>As a Jew, who has come to know the King of the Jews, I say
>shes exactly right.
Ditto
God.
Ann Coulter is the Michael Moore of the right in terms of the foolishness of rhetoric. She riles up some on our side by throwing them stupid rhetoric and they get all type mental orgasms because of it but at the end she is doing it for attention and money, but worst of all she hurts our side everytime she opens her mouth.
Per the transcript he accused her of saying "Jews need to be perfected." when in fact she said we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say, in the context of the country being a better place if it were all Christian.
Same meaning, and imo irrelevant as to the quality of the nation or the Republican Party.
(chuckle)
and that is pretty much jettisoning jewish law and tradition
The claim that Jews can be saved only by accepting Jesus is a Christian doctrine. As a Jew, I obviously don't accept it, but there's nothing wrong with a Christian saying that.
What is wrong, and outrageous, is her claim that America would be better off if all Jews became Christians. That is not a religious belief, it is a secular claim, and one which is not only demonstarbly wrong, but is a slap in the face to all Jewish war veterans and to all the other jews who have done so much for America.
