Candidates participating:
You missed Duncan Hunter sounding/looking very PRESIDENTIAL!! :)
That's fine. He doesn't have a snowball's chance of getting the votes Perot did.
wow!
I know unions have represented their workers right out of their jobs.....
my father’s plant was shut down when the unions came in...my dad was totally anti-union...and warned his fellow workers that if they pushed the issue that they would close the plant....but-— the unions do a good sales pitch....
but when it comes to the trade deals like NAFTA- they are on the right side of the issue.....
but hey— that is just me... I take my position on issues, not names, party, etc.... I am just not fan-based....
I just stick to my principles.....
Theoretically you are right and it’s okay for those of us in the bleachers to say so, but when a candidate is on the stage that kind of answer makes him appear not a team player.
What’s with all this McCain praise from the talking heads????
CNBC pushing John McCain! What’s up with that?!
Hey, don’t be dissing Fred!
The media tries to force either Rudy or McCain on us. McCain did not do a great job. The media pushing for those two in hopes of get them elected - Rudy because he is like a Democrat and McCain because he is sure to lose. While the media is gushing over Rudy, they will dump him when he faces Hillary.
I don’t quite get this “look presidential” bit about the candidates. Did Bush look Presidential before 2000? No, and that really has nothing to do with the debate. By the way, whoever wins the primary, should select a VP that has experience handling the congress critters because the Veep is President over the Senate. In my mind, I think Duncan Hunter would fit that bill very nicely.
Pat Paulson?
Oh my... I wouldn’t besmirch the late Pat Paulson by lumping Ron Paul in with him.
Paulson usually made sense even if his candidacy was a joke. I don’t think this guy Paul could ever make sense...and he doesn’t quite realize his candidacy is becoming a joke. :)
I didn’t say he’d ban anyone ... though I’ve certainly seen him ask people to leave.

Will someone please create some good Duncan Hunter bumper stickers?
How about a pirate FreeRepublic Duncan Hunter sticker?
Someone could make a lot of money, which could be ... contributed to Duncan Hunter’s campaign. :)
Of course we all know that internet polls are scientific, and there is no chance that there is any double-voting spamming of the polls going on.. /sarcasm>
Paul draws the votes that don’t vote in normal elections, like truthers and white nationalists who like to project the perfect candidacy onto Paul. He won’t take votes away from anyone.
Check the Corner on National Review Online. Byron York has Already picked up on it. Contrasting Romney( who would call his lawyers and get all the allies on board) and Fred ( who would consult tithe this generals (before dropping the bombs) That is what a President does.
Indeed, Romney consulted with his lawyers in Massachusetts before ordering the Clerks of Court to begin to issue the gay marriage licenses, instead of just handling it as the political question it was. The U.S. will be overlawyered and underrepresented if Mitt is President. LOL
Your right, Pat Paulson has a much better chance of getting the Nomination than Ron Paul. Besides, Pat Paulson had a sense of humor, as well as his supporters.
Pray for W and Our Troops
I had the priviledge of listening to one of Dubyas speeches during the primaries. It was actually back in probably Jan or Feb of 00. He didn’t sound presidential at all. He sounded sincere, laid-back, confident, humble and NORMAL. I disagree with a myriad of policies of his, but if anything he’s been very presidential in the WH.
I'm not supporting either! Duncan Hunter is the man I'd like to see in the Oval Office!
Huckabee looked good, Romney was OK, and Thompson settled down and finished all right.
All in all, our guys are far and away the better choice over liberal, socialist Democrats.
Is that serious? 80%? Or did they really spam it this time?
Looks like we may have to FReep This Poll...
You trashed everyone (especially Romney for some reason), so who is your candidate?
Is that your opinion, or did you consult with some lawyers about what you should say first?
