Jacob told the cops he was experiencing chest pains and began coughing uncontrollably.

A female cop said, "Nice acting," according to Jacob, and then drove off. Jacob said he struggled to drive home, stopping to vomit on the side of the road.

PING

I can assume the cops got home to their wife and children safely that day? Does anything else matter?

Another line from an obituary of the Rule of Law.

There are nice suburban communities around here where I fear the cops more than the “bad guys.” Over-policed, they are always on the lookout for more fresh meat to stuff into the sausage grinder bureaucracy called the “criminal justice system.” If I had a flat tire, I’d get 3 cop cars around me, and the cops wouldn’t lift a finger to fix the flat, they’d want to search my car.

His union should take it up with their union. They can discuss the abuses of the powerful vis a vis the powerless and how, in the end, we all suffer.

What happened to him should not happen to anyone. But we've built a system in which some folks are untouchable. Sucks, don't it?

"'I told you it was a white Maxima,'" the witness reportedly said, according to the complaint. Jacob drives a white Infiniti.

Hey at least the color of the car was right. Close enough for horse shoes and hand grenades./s

Off topic, but wasn't there another thread about the same thing happening earlier this week but a dog got shot?

Seems to me that we should know the names of cops whose actions sent someone to the hospital.

They aren't underage, and they aren't rape victims.

When are the bootlickers going to show up and defend this useless piece of human detritus?

She needs to be in jail.

"'I told you it was a white Maxima,'"

A great punch line, so to speak.

More Cartmans overly impressed with their power. I wonder if they still give character tests to recruits?

I guarantee you that if the police pull me over because they confused me with a bank robber, I would neither be "scared to death", or suffer a heart attack. Mostly I would be amused.

Unless, of course, they shoot me first and ask questions later. But that is not what happened.

Yeah! Good for the LEOs! A little "street justice" was administered here. We don't need no stinking courts or trials! Get a bad guy and slam the little piece of crap!

Yeeeehaaaawwww!!!

"His wife rushed him to the hospital, where doctors determined he had suffered a heart attack. In July he underwent open-heart surgery."

If I ever have a heart attack, that's the kind I want -- where the doctors can wait until the next month to take care of it.

I was afraid the same treatment might happen to me the other day. I was driving toward a cop who was standing in the middle of my lane where he had been waving cars out of a parking garage. I was braking and preparing to sit there while he waved more cars out into the street. For some reason he got the idea that I was NOT braking and was going to run over him, poor depth perception perhaps. He started waving his arms and screaming at me even thought he could see I was looking right at him. It never occurred to him to move. I fully expected him to arrest me even though I wasn’t within 40 feet of him when I stopped.
