Tired of foreign wars and what they consider right-wing courts, the Middlebury Institute wants liberal states like Vermont to be able to secede peacefully.

This isn’t a bad thing.. if we could get all liberal states to secede we could fund the WOT and pay off the national debt on the money we save on the social programs alone that would be eliminated. The states that secede would end up a third world nation in a matter of months after health care and other social programs bankrupt the economy. There’s no tax base because most of them don’t work anyway and then they’d fall into Islamic extremist hands under sharia law. There would be no homosexuals left so that would drop the population in half. Once this happens they can go to the UN for help. The UN would send in it’s security force and rape the women who would then be killed because they brought shame on their families.
The United States, now a much more powerful and influential super power because the fruit-loops are gone would brand this new country a terrorist state. After several years of watching the whole thing deteriorate we’d invade, take back the land that was part of the United States so there’s no “occupation issues” and we could send all detainees to the Arctic because according to the global warming nuts it’ll be a lot like Guantanamo Bay now.
So this whole thing works for me...

That's a plan any conservative should be able to support. I support letting everything east of the Hudson River/Lake Champlain line go. We'd get rid of 12 to 14 liberal senators. We could then deal with the other problem areas one at a time.

Vermont, one of the nation's most liberal states, has become a hotbed for liberal secessionists
The reason Vermont went so crazy liberal is because the nuts in our society, led by the hard core Socialists (DSOA - Democratic Socialists of America {how's that for an oxymoron/) infiltrated the state, staring big time back in the early 80's after Reagan won, which struck a stake in the heart of the Washington Socialists. At the time, teddy was their great white knight.
They held re-organinzing meetings across the states with the upshot being they would have to continue integrating the Democrat Party until strong enough to take it over. This strategy also included moving to smaller populated states and towns, getting into leadership positions in town and party organizations, etc etc.
They have been very successful. They are now on the brink of take over and overthrowing our government - call it what you will - and we will wake up and find we are the USSA (United Socialist States of America.)
This is one reason the reids, pelosies, hitlerys, teddys el al are operating at such a fevers pitch now. They can taste victory - but are afraid of defeat. Chaos reigns in their panic. they know if they loose the WH this time, their plans will suffer a decades long blow - maybe more. They know one thing for sure: those now in power wont still be in power to enjoy being dictators.
But golly, if Vermont wants to leave the USA - there's the door. Anything I can do to help?
They will soon find themselves even more lopsided with an even bigger influx of fringe elements - gays, muzzies, etc., and will find, as San Francisco is now bemoaning, the flight of families (real ones, like in mom,dad, kids) -
And, Oh, when you get in trouble, when you get attacked - don't call. The line will be busy.
It saddens me to see what’s happening in America.
This and the laughable ‘Free State Project’ serve a valuable purpose to society at large.
They help those of us not insane identify those that are truly insane.

I say let go and let them pay for their own defense and any US goverment facilities are there they will have to compensate the US government for.
I don't believe it will happen. Instead of cleaning out the internal enemies of this country, conservatives will be bulldozed into going along with the Marxists, losing our sovereignty and rights, and becoming subservient to the elites of Mexico, Canada and the rest of the world.
It will only take one "Waco" incident for the gov't to prove to conservatives that they want to surrender their guns and get with the agenda. We are presently watching the 1st Amendment vanish and I don't see anyone suggesting violence.
Nothin’ wrong with Cali. east of the San Andreas. If Santa Monica, West LA, and San Fran set sail, we’d be in good shape...
They also won't have votes in the House or Senate . . . I say it's a great idea! Where can I contribute? ;-)

Good Riddance if Michael of Killen, Alabama is not longer part of the US.
