ANN COULTER AND THE WOMEN'S VOTE
Nealz Nuze/Wsb Radio ^ | 3 October 2007 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 10/03/2007 5:38:51 AM PDT by Turret Gunner A20

Ann Coulter has a new book. "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd be Republicans." Suggested subtitle ... "You Can't Fix Stupid."

I guess we now know just what sentence, paragraph or thought expressed in Coulter's book is going to be used by the MoveOn Democrat Party and the loony left in an attempt to demonize her.

Here's an excerpt from an interview with Ann Coulter by George Gurley. Here we find Coulter talking about women: "If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women."

The left is sure to jump on this like a crow on a June bug. Thing is .... Coulter is exactly right. Don't take her word for it, just read "Freedomnomics" by John Lott. Here we have a renowned economist going all the way back to the late 1980s to see what happens when women get the vote.

His findings? In every single case, when women were given the right to vote the cost of government immediately began to rise as women, particularly single women, started voting for the candidates who would create more government spending programs designed to provide women with security. That magic word .. .security.

Lott found that young single women overwhelmingly vote liberal. When they marry and start a family they start voting more conservatively. That would be because their sense of security is provided by their family, and they don't want government to interfere in their accumulation of wealth.

Then, if that very same woman starts to feel that her marriage is threatened ... or if she becomes divorced ... she right back there voting for liberals again. Why? Security .. this time from the government instead of her husband. Coulter is right. Deal with it.

If Hillary Clinton becomes (God forbid) the next president of this country, it will be on the vote of young single women and divorcees.

In a companion piece....

Background aside, GOP women still really like Rudy Giuliani

PALM SPRINGS — Rudolph W. Giuliani is married to his third wife, his kids barely talk to him and he’s comfortable with leaving intact the national policy permitting abortion.

Oh — and he’s the former mayor of New York City, a modern Gomorrah to many here at the biennial conference of the National Federation of Republican Women.

This may sound stupid, but I would give up my vote if I could ban my lib/lesbian sister from voting as well.

I’d say that the country started going downhill about that time, but the truth is that it started going downhill when they passed the income tax amendment.

My suggestion is that we simply abolish all of the provisions of the constitution that allow the federal government to do anything other than operate the military and fight wars.

Let the states do the rest.

Assuming you and your sister live in the same place, your votes would be canceled out autmatically. I’d never forfeit my right to vote.

I have a liberal brother. Don't fall for this, netmilsmom. Men are Ann's target market, so she's just saying what they like to hear. Fact: There has never been a woman president, and most of the people holding public office are men. So they can't blame all this on us. ;-) I've debated men right here on FR with me taking the more conservative position and they a more liberal position... lol.

Lott found that young single women overwhelmingly vote liberal.

From my point of view, that explains why they're single.

I must have missed the swarms of women who voted in Woodrow Wilson.

Not saying Ann doesn’t usually have good points - she does. But many take Ann’s premises and jump to nonsensical universal conclusions.

Both of my nieces are going to vote for Mrs. Clinton.

Why? She’s a woman. Period.

Helluva standard, right?

God help us.

“If Hillary Clinton becomes (God forbid) the next president of this country, it will be on the vote of young single women and divorcees.”

Single young women do what ever they perceive as ‘cool’ or fashionable.... form their attire to their voting. THAT is nothing new. They are very impressionable, so whatever ‘propaganda’ is directed to them finds its mark. Movies, TV(programs AND commercials), Music, magazines (features AND advertising)...absolutely ALL of that stuff is directed exclusively to young women who question NONE OF IT!!! It is swallowed whole and unfortunately most of it exploits their naivete and hobbles their futures...economically, socially, etc. Most NEVER learn to question any of this and think for themselves.

There is nothing more disappointing than to engage an attractive female in conversation only to find that "the words coming out of her mouth"* are ignorant, whining, and liberal. For a few years I had a bad run, in that every interaction ended like that. EVERY ONE.

I now live in Texas, so it's less of a problem, and when I DO run into a chick like this, usually in Austin, I can lay out the verbal smackdown with the full approval of my peers and community. It's very refreshing, actually.

It usually culminates with something akin to "OK, that's great Star Flower, but until they DO find Rove's hurricane-creating machine, you're just a kook with hairy armpits; perhaps if you cleaned yourself up, lost 15 lbs and learned to cook a man would take interest."
