Joint Chiefs chairman again says gay sex immoral
Associated Press ^ | September 27, 2007

Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, caused a stir at a Senate hearing this week when he repeated his view that gay sex is immoral and should not be condoned by the military.

Pace, who retires next week, said he was seeking to clarify similar remarks he made in spring, which he said were misreported.

"Are there wonderful Americans who happen to be homosexual serving in the military? Yes," he told the Senate Appropriations Committee during a hearing Wednesday focused on the Pentagon's 2008 war spending request.

"We need to be very precise then, about what I said wearing my stars and being very conscious of it," he added. "And that is, very simply, that we should respect those who want to serve the nation but not through the law of the land, condone activity that, in my upbringing, is counter to God's law."

Anti-war protesters sitting behind Pace jeered the four-star general's remarks with some shouting, "Bigot!" That led Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Byrd, D- West Virginia., to adjourn the hearing abruptly and seal off the doors.

The hearing resumed about five minutes later in which Pace said he would be supportive of efforts to revisit the Pentagon's policy so long as it didn't violate his belief that sex should be restricted to a married heterosexual

"That led Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Byrd, D- West Virginia., to adjourn the hearing abruptly and seal off the doors."

I was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning and she played a tape of Senator Byrd ordering those people out. It was the funniest thing I have heard.

Nothing like restating the obvious to incite a riotous behavior in the sodomites and their homophilic minions. Can’t we just turn our children over to the sodomites in an effort to make peace, love, happiness, and satisfaction for the deviant appetite?

Well, there really are no homosexuals in Iran. Not since they stoned all of them. The same can be said for any other group that is not sufficiently islamic enough to suit the government there.

I find it surprising that most of the congresscritters don't burst into flame when they look into the eyes of a man like Pace.

Anti-war protesters sitting behind Pace jeered the four-star general's remarks with some shouting, "Bigot!"

So then, by the apparent standard of these anti-war protesters anyone who hold any moral values - at all - is bigoted. I mean, adultery is immoral, lying is immoral, stealing is immoral. That obviously means I'm bigoted.

Again we see the left's attempt to deny immutable truths and replace it with relativism, which they then seek to control what is, and what is not, acceptable...today at least.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing. It's "news" because AP got the headline wrong. Unless they caught the General discriminating against gay soldiers (and you can bet they tried their asses off), the story was actually "Joint Chiefs Chairman Follows Orders In Spite Of Personal Views."
