A snatched picture purporting to be of Madeleine McCann in north Morocco was published last night, generating new momentum in the search for her.
Gerry and Kate McCann called last night for the picture, taken on August 31 by a Spanish tourist and handed to the McCanns lawyers yesterday morning, to be fully investigated.
The picture shows a light-skinned, blonde-haired girl being carried in a sling on a Moroccan womans back near the town of Zinat. It is the fourth reported sighting of a girl fitting Madeleines description in Morocco since she disappeared on May 3 but the first published picture.
A Spanish newspaper reported yesterday that another tourist saw a girl resembling Madeleine as she drove through the town of Zaio in northern Morocco at the end of May.

Hmmm. Seems worthy of a closer look anyway. Any photo experts wanna take a crak at this?

Morocco.
It sure looks like her. God protect her, that is not a good place to be, given the type of trading that goes on in certain regions of the world.

My first sense is that in a poor country like that, people don’t have a great variety of clothing. These people should be identifiable by locals — especially that wild hat.

It definitely doesn’t look photoshopped, if that’s what you’re asking. It’s pretty hard to make picture like this look uniformly and convincingly low-quality, even if you do the trick where you use the decompisition of jpeg photos to your advantage.

While that picture does seem to fit an overall general likeness or facial type of the child, it’s resolution simply isn’t sufficient to be conclusive. Should it warrant a closer inspection? I believe so. No stone should remain unturned in this case, especially if the authorities are going to prosecute someone for murder.
People in the photo appear to be fair skinned. It is entirely possible this could be their child, or the child of someone they know.

I think it’s a camera-phone photo, they don’t react well to strong lighting conditions like extremely bright sunlight.

The head of the woman in the dark outfit is weird...they both look like women in disguise - men with children like this would be suspect

She has a very distinctive brown “patch” at the 7 o’clock mark or her right eye.
I took the picture to an iridologist who said this is a genetic thing because someone in her background had brown eyes.
It looks like a chimera. You see those in apples....a red apple and a section of yellow in one area that extends from the stem to the blossom.
So if someone can enhance that photo and see the brown mark, then it could be her. No brown mark, no Madeline.

And, an unsteady hand. That little girl surely seems interested. She is staring straight at the person taking the picture.

The 4th sighting in that area since May?
Why haven’t any authorities gone to ck it out?
