A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I could no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I have been including them here as I receive enough to make another collage.

I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why we've created a place for just that. This is a friendly room in JimRob's house where FReeper FRiends can gather every day and just say hello if that's all they want to do.

We have featured different FReepers, with a little background information on who they are and what makes them who they are, along with a few photos you might not have seen on other threads; sometimes others write an essay for us to post as the feature for the day; sometimes our presentation is a human interest story found elsewhere that you might not have read; sometimes special holiday threads; but whatever the topic of the day, it is always with FR's Finest in mind and that is YOU!

Every Monday we post the photos of FR's Military Personnel that I have collected and put into groups; these will be available to view through a link the remainder of the week - every day just a click away. :)   If you would like to add a photo of yourself or a loved one in the military, past or present, please let me know; I will hold it until I have enough for a new group.

Hey Billie, You all are so sweet....my computer has been so mean to me and Barry has been covered up. Out of town today and worked on his brother's yesterday and is almost through with it. I am next. The other night I decided to get on and I was checking all the beautiful posts of everyone from Wed. Thurs. Fri. and then the computer stuck. Couldn't refresh or reload....couldn't close except shut it down. Its just aggravating and I have been trying to get my sugar levels in balance since starting the meds. I get just worn out sometimes and shut down, I guess. I think of you all everyday. The computer with everything else tightens up my back and it kills me........I will try to get back in the swing very soon. (If I left out names, I will get them next time! You all ARE the Finest FRiends and I love all of you'uns! ~~LOL~~

Hope you get your computer straightened out. Sometimes my
laptop does that. The curser just freezes and I have to
shut down. Wonder what causes it? It’s only done it twice,
however, so I won’t worry unless it starts happening all
the time.

I will check in often, maybe daily, if I get the computer straightened out. I have lost lots of things recently and especially my ‘thousands’ of bookmarks. Bookmarks was crowded and needed to be cleaned but the computer caused it. My son says they are there and he will get them back....I hope!! ~~LOL~~(Thousands is an exageration of course but there was too many!)

I had to borrow a computer a couple of weeks ago and it
was frustrating not to be able to find my stuff. Thank
goodness I have an external drive to save things from
the hard drive onto, or I would really be in trouble. EGAD!

Hi Ladies, sorry for disappearing. I did a “little project” and then my aunt in Fla called & we talked for half an hour. She is caregiving her 95 year old sister (my aunt is 85) and I am caregiving my mom, their 89 year old sister. She has only been doing this for 3 years.. and is still in the “frustration” stage. I told her it took me about 5 years to “calm down” & reach more peace & patience.

It is nice to be home for an evening & to feel well enough to play at computer a bit w/email, pix editing & visiting threads.

Nice weather here still (crossing fingers) but I truly hate seeing fall/winter set in. They are both pretty but I love the warm weather & the outdoor activites
