SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies say Matt Radula made up war stories to gain respect and to trick his neighbors and friends, allowing him to take advantage of people, especially at his favorite bar. Investigators say the Seminole County man dressed up as an Iraq war veteran, but never served one day.

Deputies found all kinds of military papers, insignias, two Airsoft guns resembling real guns and a fake military ID that said Radula was a captain in the criminal investigations division of the Army. He admitted it was all untrue and said he was practicing for a play.
