Let me tell you, snugs, you just don’t see the laundry list of questionable actions like the ones the Clintons perpetrated in their time in office (Elian Gonzales, Waco, Ruby Ridge, Whitewater, etc.) that you see with this administration. Why do you think they’re going after Congressmen— Delay, Cunningham, Vitter, Craig, the Abramoff thing? It’s because it’s easy to find bad eggs in a pool of hundreds of potential targets, plus they have next to nothing on Bush and Cheney except Iraq. They tried playing up the Halliburton angle but there’s nothing there so they haven’t been able to get anything from it.
Some of our press is pretty grim in Britain but compared with what I have seen of the American press we do not do too bad.
I was really disappointed in McCain’s performance today. Kerry was spewing vile calumnies and McCain was sleepwalking. There were so many places where McCain could have slam dunked Kerry out of the Senate, let alone out of the debate, but he just rolled over for his “good friend.”
I think McCain has just brought his own brief surge to a screeching halt.
Same here with coke and pepsi
my motto “keep it clean”
FNC, Sky News and BBC were saying about 5,000 where on earth did 100,000 come from.
cspan is showing the ANSWER rally. An American imam is stirring up the crowd right now.
What do you expect? He’s Mr. Inconsistency. One day he’ll hit it out of the park and the next he’ll roll over and play dead. That’s why he’s been mired in 4th place for the past few months. Nobody knows which side they’re going to get. It’s like he picks his platform from a dartboard.
WTF???
Since when did VICTORY over an enemy become a “bad option”?
Greatings from the Beltway, won’t be here long. Waiting for hubby
A friend of mine drinks only distilled water after suffering from kidney stones and passing them. Ouch.
No minerals in distilled.
I think you may be right. As I said, he was in prozac mode. He needed to find an over-caffinated self. He just wasn't in the game as I see it, although he held his own with Timmy for the most part.
They are having another rally??
Aren't they suppose to have one next week too?
Geez ... this dude speaking sure has anger issues
Oh lovely .. A poem is being read
I always remember what our dear departed freeper GretchenM said about Gates that she liked his eyes that they were eyes you could trust. I think over the last few weeks that Gates has shown this, maybe some of his views I and many others would not agree 100 per cent with but I believe he is an honest man and is doing the job for his President to the best of his ability and at the end of the day you cannot ask for anymore.
I guess he thinks “victory” isn’t possible.
Let me see:
* #1 objective: Depose Saddam Hussein. Check.
* #2 objective: Find evidence of nuclear, chemical, and/or biological weaponry. We’ve found quite a few (particularly on the chemical side), the press just won’t report it. Check.
* #3 objective: Stabilize the mess we created by going in there and rebuild the country. Check in progress.
Nowhere in there does it say we have the job of law enforcement— only that we have to help the Iraqis do it themselves. The crude attacks that Iraqi terrorists and street thugs pull off are a matter for the Iraqi police. We’re there to fight off the major organized crime— the terror organizations— as part of the broader WOT.
I’d be willing to say... we’ve already won the Iraq situation, it’s the broader WOT we’re fighting now.
Hubby’s here,
rotta ro
We shall meet my friend at one of these deals, hopefully soon.
God Bless America and Free Republic!

I agree, snugs. In fact, I think he is doing a remarkably good job.
