The "they" Sen. Kinnock Biden* is referring to are our European allies**.
In other words, Biden is for giving a green light for the socialist governments of Germany, et. al to start trade talks with Al-Qaeda.
*The stupidest man in the US Senate (defending champion 2002-2006)
**alleged
IMO, there is definitely a Chicom connection, especially given Hsu's going back and forth to HK. Given the past Chinagate scandal involving the Clintons, I suspect that the Chinese have some leverage [read blackmail] over the Clintons that could devastate Hillary's political aspirations and destroy Bill's reputation once and for all. Perhaps, they will call in their chips if Hillary is elected and the issue of Taiwan becomes more acute. Or it could be used to influence the outcome of trade or sale of technology issues. In any event, the Chinese connection should be of great concern to all of us.
Biden: The American public is not prepared to keep American forces there [in Iraq] to keep bad things from happening.
Ummm, I’m not so sure about that, Joe.
(Listening to Biden talk really is a complete waste of time.)
Stephie introduces his panel with a quote from Patraeus saying he wasn’t sure Iraq was making us safer and stating we are now going to talk about the fallout of the President’s address to the nation.
Pathetic.
The Clintons need the military cover, just like ADM Crowe endorsed Clinton in 2000 and was rewarded with an ambassadorship to London.
Well I was using my walker and had brought my cane just in case. (people don’t realize that folks that use a walker CAN walk without it, but SHOULD not)
Anywho, I was sitting on the seat of the walker and leaning on the cane. Someone said there’s Duncan Hunter!
In a millisecond I pushed away the walker with my butt, threw down the cane and practically jumped the man. I was like an Elvis fan.
I calmed down later and said the next time I would see him, I’ll be calling him Mr. President at the Freeper Inauguration Party.
Face the Nation opens with with Levin; I switch channels.
The rewriting of press releases is 80% of what journalism is about. It's even sadder to think parents shell out tens of thousands of dollars each year to send their kids to "J-school" to learn that.
Thanks, Phsstpok.
Steffie is having a harder and harder time trying to get that witch elected co-president again, isn’t he.
The war will essentially be over in 3-6 mos at this pace. What will the Lemonheads say then??
Pray for W and Our Troops
LOL, HC.
Cute story. He really is a wonderful man.
Thanks for your Nuggets. I love them. Just finished reading the link about Rummy (Honor). I am so happy to hear that he still has security protection. He needs it. And will read about Powell (Shame) next.
for calling Patreus a liar.
“Question for Timmy: Russert, if the public and Congress oppose the war, why doesn’t Congress cut off funding...?”
And that should be the question posted every day on every thread.
Good morning, all, and sorry I am late (slept in a bit later than I wanted to). I see I won first place last week... very nice. Thank you to all.
- As I said in the pre-thread, with all the coverage Rep. Duncan Hunter got in the cable press this week, I am disappointed (although far from surprised) that the Sunday talk shows snubbed him).
- Watching FTN. This guy is doing nothing but talking out his end side about what’s going on in Iraq. And of course, Schieffer throws him softballs.
I agree about Gates. He is a different cup of tea than Rummy but he is doing a fine job and he is starting to grow on me.
My pleasure, daisyscarlett.
But but but ... they have respect for our soldiers / s>
My sympanthies re the coffee having just had one cup and a nectarine before going shopping am in serious need of more coffee and my bagel - did I hear the toast click back in a mo.
