Click Video- Learn how DNA was able to sort out and match the DDS fragments
I’ll answer your question with a story:
A client of mine was a former siding salesman. One day, accompanied by a new saleswoman with his company, he called on an elderly couple who, as it turned out were Mormon. In the course of chatting, the new saleswoman said she had gone to BYU and was LDS. Turning to her and thinking she was referring to some type of disability, my client said something like, “Wow, that’s very impressive. You finished fours years of college even though you’re LDS.” The older couple nearly fell on the floor laughing. LDS = Latter Day Saints, a euphemism for Mormons.
“How is that possible?”
Good question. One answer may be found by dropping the last letter from the name of the Angel Moroni.
Cordially,
A.
“Still another LDS member that I’m very close to doesn’t even want Romney in the race. She said it’s because she just doesn’t want the “whole Mormon thing” in the news. “
Romney is going to have a lot of ‘splaining to do. While Mormon men might not be polygamists on earth, they must certainly become ones if they get a planet in order to generate enough spirit children.
But this brings up the question of if you need spirit children, you need spirit wives. Now, are any of those wives Goddesses? I mean, are Mormon men saying they are the only gender who can become Gods and frolic with the fems?
Which then brings up the question of whether there is a Mother God who should be worshipped, and if not why not?
I guess what that long article is suggesting is that the Lamanites were just a small inconsequential tribe, almost like they didn’t exist.
Special software is being used to reconstruct shredded Stasi documents.

The following is a quote from the book of mormon:
"I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity" (Moroni 8:18).
In your oun words, what does this verse mean?
If god is "unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity" how can he change?
Well, you caught us. We do not feel required to tell the truth; in fact, we are required not to tell the truth. Everything we say (including "Good morning!" and "How are you?") is propaganda.
It doesn't stop there. (After years of deception, it is a relief to get this off my chest.) Every week I exhort the members of my LDS ward to lie, cheat, and steal. Of course, since there may be nonmembers present, I have to tell the members not to do those things. But the members are in on the deceptionthey know the codeso they understand what I really mean.
It is getting harder to get away with evil-doing because smart people likeyou have figured out that a Mormon cannot ever be trusted. Ever. You certainly would never fall for anything a Mormon might say. To make our quotas, we may even have to subcontract the work of evil to others. (I hear we are in negotiations with al Qaeda to do the real dirty stuff.)
There, I have said it. Do you feel better now?
"I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity" (Moroni 8:18).
Two questions:
In your oun words, what does this verse mean?
If god is "unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity" how can he change?
“It doesn’t stop there. (After years of deception, it is a relief to get this off my chest.) Every week I exhort the members of my LDS ward to lie, cheat, and steal.”
Well done, you’ve spun what I’ve said to the extreme (just like all good Mormons do) to avoid facing the ugly fact that on matters of the church, the LDS fathers routinely excommunicate dissenters because they are afraid of the truth.
Here’s a nice expose that goes into what happens when honest people meet the Mormon hierarchy:

I know what your reply will be, that every church has the right and need to expell those who don’t believe their core tenets - and I certainly agree (just as the Catholics excommunicated Gallileo and Martin Luther). But with a little research, one will find that ever since Joseph Smith, Mormons have had to excommunicate at a ferocious pace in order to keep from falling apart.
Here is a question for you to spin, Who was the original God the Mother who produced all the Spirit Children? Did you put her out to pasture like a cow???
This is why Brigham Young taught that polygamy was the ONLY form of marriage practiced in heaven and that there was NO SALVATION without polygamy. At least he wasn't afraid to tell you exactly what he thought. LOL
But this brings up the question of if you need spirit children, you need spirit wives. Now, are any of those wives Goddesses? I mean, are Mormon men saying they are the only gender who can become Gods and frolic with the fems?
No, there are no "goddesses" in LDS theology, so, yes, LDS doctrine holds that ONLY men can become "gods".
I don't think Romney will get such questions from the mainstream media; however, they very might run exposes on LDS history and theology. If they truly tell it like it is, it will be a disaster or a blessing for the LDS Church, depending on how you look at it. For those who want the non-publicized LDS teachings to be kept out of the limelight, it will be a disaster. The LDS Church has shown a tendency to bow to public pressure, especially mainstream Christian public pressure. Once their "strange" doctrines are exposed, the LDS Church will face a dilemna. They will either have to change or admit that they indeed teach some things that are directly opposed to mainstream Christianity, such as there being many gods and that they are all simply men who evolved into gods, and that earthly men can themselves become gods. I believe (and pray) their desire to become "mainstream" Christianity will force them to change, which is why I believe Romney's running could very well end up being a blessing for the LDS Church and Mormons in the long run.
The first post on this thread was someone asking about whether we can trust BYU researchers. Then I was asked if "my church" was doing DNA research on the DSS, so evidently SOMEBODY wants me to be impressed by it. I simply made a case of why BYU researchers, working for the LDS Church can NOT be trusted. As shown, when Mormon researchers reach conclusions that the LDS Church doesn't like, they can be exed. How's that for wanting the "truth" and being open? Also as shown, the LDS Church regards Joseph Smith's "Book of Abraham" as scripture, even though it has been proven beyond any doubt that Joseph Smith was 100% in error. Yet, the LDS Church simply ignores the truth and wants us to take them seriously as researchers? Are you kidding me? That would be like trusting someone who screaches that 9/11 was an inside government job to provide an unbiased report on Al Qaeda.
Is there a text site for we who are hampered by dial-up?
Dear lady, your comments are worthy of the same disgust, that honest Americans have expressed over the treatment of a four star general and the US Ambassador to Iraq at the hands of some of our elected officials.
Am I wrong to believe that any intelligent person should be able to find the answer to the question without making it a point of religious contention?
Yes, another attempt by LDS apologists to explain why there isn't a SINGLE SCINTILLA OF SCIENTIFIC, ARCHEOLOGICAL, OR BIOLOGAL PROOF for the BoM.
“I believe (and pray) their desire to become “mainstream” Christianity will force them to change, which is why I believe Romney’s running could very well end up being a blessing for the LDS Church and Mormons in the long run.”
Let’s hope you are right.
This Spirit world polygamy is perhaps closer to the crux of the matter than I have realized. Spirit children evidently come from continual polygamous matings, but with whom? Does each planets Father mate with his daughters? Or does his sons mate with his daughters? Seems unavoidable.
Just remember this Murphy does not have a consensus on his annalist and interpretation based on other works that he made these assumptions!
All of you are basing on the fact you have issues with yourself and reconciliation with the Lord doctrine and are looking for your own justification!
If it were not so it would bother so much!
Resty, the video is informative and interesting!... The essence of the presentation is that DNA is helping to collate fragment portions of the scrolls. Many pieces of scrolls are now to be sorted into categories based upon DNA which shows the parchments are from the same animal thus the pieces belong together but still have to be put together for text, like a puzzle once they are placed into a grouping.
I couldn’t find a written copy but having watched the video the summary above is the best I could do in few words.
BTW, the video is dec`idedly non-religious in nature, merely presenting how DNA science is aiding in collating fragmentary pieces of the scrolls.
