Old Miami-Dade Metro cop sources confirmed to me tonight that accused cop killer Shawn labeet has "ties to" Miami Islamic community. The depth of the connection is not known at this time.
He said it is under VERY active investigation. It is somehow linked to his brother Ishmael Labeet who killed 8 Americans "because they were White" in US Virgin Islands years ago, then fled to Cuba.
Escaped murderer-brother Ishmael LaBeet now goes by name Ishmael Ali.
Expect more on this.

Yet early in the original article they made a point of identifying him as white.
I have no problem with a suspect being identified as white. I definitely think the public deserves to have a description and to know who they should be looking out for.
My problem is with the lack of a description when a suspect is not white. Even worse, is the attempt to deflect any negative attention away from a non-white, non-Christian, non-supposedly-oppressed-and-misunderstood-group.
Pretending a problem doesn’t exist, doesn’t make it go away. In fact, it helps it to thrive.

You are correct. None of the local stations, here in Miami (NOT "Maim-Me ~sigh~) have mentioned his religion. I wonder, when the cops blew him away, was he screaming Allah-Hu Akbar?

International Islam supports and funds terror and terrorists through its crony criminals, leftist nations such as Cuba and wherever they can find more psychopaths.
The prison ministry I work with has had some remarkable people come to Christ. As a lawyer, and a guy that grew up in cities, I am naturally cynical towards criminals. Initially I thought of it as helping the individual prisoners that came to the ministry, to us. The thing that I did not consider is how much good these same prisoners can do in jail for others once they have a purpose. One man, life sentence without possibility of parole, so no “angle” is involved, has immersed himself so deeply into scripture, and changed in such an amazing way, that the other prisoners and guards are now coming to him with questions and to pray. The prisoners can have a ministry right there in prison that is in every way as “important” as if they were free; in a way it’s one of the few things they can do in prison that is worthwhile and important.
