Bttt!
radar shows a N/NNW jump
That’s what Doc Frank originally thought but with the eye wall collapsing....he’s had to adjust that...
Doc Frank is saying either High Island or perhaps Sabine Pass now, in the wee hours of the morning. Poor Sabine Pass, they can’t take much more, I don’t think!
I'm calling it a night, ya'll have a good one!
Humberto running out of time and water, the little storm that could had it had more of both. Humberto doesn’t want to make land fall does he. Maybe back out into the Gulf for a breather?
rode down Toddville a couple weeks ago when out on a motorcycle ride. Never actually went down it before (always saw it from the bridge) until our friends took us that way. neat road!
Yea I almost bought there. Surfs up in San Leon winds 30-35 NE steady light rain. B down to 29.75
Latest from the Hurricane Hunter airplane...
The 079 is knots at flight level — suggesting strengthening.

I believe it definate increase in stregth.
NHC might call this a hurricane soon. Let’s hope it diminishes somewhat before the northern eyewall hits land.
very impressive little storm, had it formed furthher out in the gulf it could have been trouble. I am now on the weak side and winds are increasing! No rain so I know it’s not just a rain squall.
bumping you to 129, good call (again!).
I saw upthread you’re in San Leon. Hope you do okay in the next few hours. Any estimate of gusts?
Houston here, so nada (thankfully).
Hurricane Humberto now:
Truncated the advisory, since it’s all-caps...

I spend many years racing sailboats, I am pretty good at wind speed up till 30kts or so. I say 25mph steady with gusts at maybe 35. I have to lean into the gusts to keep my footing.
lotta sailboats here too.......Ventura/Oxnard in the day
cool, well I’m going to call it a night. see ya.
How long is this thing going to skirt along the coast? It will definately go inland won’t it? I mean, it’s not just going to swim around in the gulf is it?
Can you change the title to Hurricane Humberto...was upgraded at 2 AM..and is strengthening fast in the middle of the night here.
