Not sure where in the world that quote you posted came from, but here is the interview and the 'rest of the remarks'.. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,296404,00.html
PAUL: Because no, I do not fear them as you do, as many do, because they want another war. They want to spread this war. This has been the plan by the neo conservatives to have this major overall this revamping of the whole Middle East, precisely the reason the al Qaeda is growing. The al Qaeda is growing because of our policy. Our national security is threatened because of our policy. And it makes it much worse.
So I see the Iranians is acting logically and defensively. We've been fighting the Iranians since 1953. We overthrew their government through the CIA in 1953. We were allies with Saddam Hussein in the 1980's. And we encouraged him to invade...
I didn't quote, just gave my sense from speeches viewed over the last few days, since I became interested in this guy.
Yes, the Iranians are acting logically and defensively from their standpoint (and this is key to understanding what Paul is saying. We 'aborted' an Iranian nationalist movement and they haven't forgotten. Of course, they HAVE forgotten that they were in a miserable standoff with British Petroleum at the time.
RP's providing context to help understand how the Iranians are seeing things, not justifying them. He thinks that if we get our hated presence out of there, currently virulent anti-Americanism will die down. I think he's right.

No, freerepublic isn't a conservative forum anymore. It is a neo-con globalist forum where dissent from war-mongering, nation building and policing the world is met with vitriolic attacks and invitations to leave, rather than reasoned discussion.*******************
Coward. Address those remarks to the person to whom you are referring.

It’s not worth it, Nephi. Don’t get yourself banned just because Paul is not popular here. Just keep making your case and let the primaries play out.

GOPs LLS wants paul to STFU!
My, your ability to discuss serious topics intelligently never fails to impress. /sarc

Hey, you dont like it here, leave. No ones begging you to hang around. Hey you don't like it when I point out something that you've embraced that is incompatible with conservatism and it makes you uncomfortable ban me. If that's the best you can do.

He said no federal law. In other words, he opposes Congressional action to address the judicial legislation represented by Roe v. Wade and he opposes a Human Life Amendment.

We all want our troops home. It is a matter of when and under what conditions.
I agree that this is what I want, but I disagree that this is what "all" want. The globalist federal government wants troops all over the world permanently for reasons that have nothing to do with national security.

is opposed to unconstitutional federal laws against murder, abortion, and thousands of other crimesThe Constitution does not prevent Congress from making murder of any kind a federal crime.
Ron Paul can make up all the fake Constitutional restrictions he wants - doesn't change the document.

I may fall in love with Paul, as I also agree that the Fed claims to control too much land.
I agree. This is a very important issue which only Ron Paul is addressing. It is the only conceivable way out of the social security mess.
Many of those who constantly blast Paul for his stance on the war are only trying to discredit him so that views such as these will not even be heard.

Did John Kerry favor state laws against abortion?LOL I merely said that Ron Paul's statement sounded like John Kerry's. Are you denying that John Kerry said almost the same thing Paul was quoted as saying? Or are you trying to say that Ronnie was misquoted?

The Iraq conflict has become the "cause celebre" for jihadists, breeding a deep resentment of US involvement in the Muslim world and cultivating supporters for the global jihadist movement.
In other words, the more the Moose-limbs follow through on becoming terrorists, the sooner they become martyrs, and the sooner we'll have cleaned that end of the gene pool.
And you have a problem with that?

I don't care if you criticize his foreign policy, but don't ever insinuate that he's pro-abortion.I merely indicated that his statement was almost identical to the one John Kerry made. So are you denying that John Kerry said anything like Ron's quote, or are you trying to say the quote is in error?
